A little gem in the village of Ano Mera; I really loved this small hotel. The first impression I got was that the owners really enjoyed putting it together, from the tall ceilings, the pebbles between the bathroom tiles, the furniture hotchpotch, the real bathtub with jacuzzi; light, airy, just right. Prices are resonable, breakfast is simple but adequate, staff are exceedingly polite and helpful, and the pool is pleasant for days when it's too windy or you're too tired to traipse to the beach. I came well off-season and got a room around the back, away from the road, facing a field. It was truly relaxing; all I could hear was the crickets in the evening and the cockrels and odd cow (yep!) in the morning. OK, you do get the odd twerp on his or her motorbike with a sawn-off exhaust who'll wake up the whole village, but it's nowhere near as noisy as other places. The village of Ano Mera itself does have everything you need, a nice square with cafes and tavernas, a supermarket, an excellent pharmacy and two or three bakeries. In my eyes though, it is primarily a springboard for exploring the island. There is a decent public bus service (though not all year round I believe - do check availability), but I'd recommend you get your own means of transport. I think a motorbike is the best option (please, please do wear helmets), as parking in Mykonos town and the more popular of beaches can be a nightmare. Mykonos town is about 15-20 minutes drive on a motorbike and the nearest sandy beach, Kalo Livadi, is about 5 minutes drive. So by staying here you can enjoy everything on the island, be in a pretty and comfortable room and still manage to get a decent night's sleep without all the din of our drunken brethren... Thoroughly recommended for friends, groups or couples, not so much for your younger night-clubber, I'd say. Personally, I would suggest getting a room around the back of the hotel, especially during high season when there is more traffic. Even the rooms facing the road have no windows in that direction, but they are bound to be noisier than the ones further back. There is double-glazing everywhere and rooms are air-conditioned, but I prefer leaving all windows open and listen to nature (get a mosquito repellent if you do!). One minor complaint: WiFi in my room was a little patchy; I think the owners could improve coverage a bit. Enjoy!

We made a reservation for the hotel two months previous arrival, and when we got there they put us on a room that is basically on the basement! We didn’t like it but were dealing with that, our big surprise came when we tried to take a shower and there was no shower on the wall, just the hose hanging from the tap! We went to the front desk to make a complaint, the guy working called his manager and they were laughing at the phone while talking about the problem, and the only answer they came with was: “I can’t do nothing”.... I am not taking vacations and paying a hotel to be treated like that. My only suggestion is: try to find another hotel... they don’t care about the guests here and their well-being. Besides that, the beds are also terrible, the parking is an empty land across a busy road, what is really dangerous to cross, and it is a lie that there is accessibility, they only have a ramp on the entrance, to get everywhere else on the hotel you have to get stairs, letting the guests in a hard time with luggage

Service: 5/5 The service of the hotel was outstanding, we manually found a blanket to put between our single beds to make it a king-size. Next day we found that blanket removed and replaced with a real madrass (to fill the hole) with a complete new set of sheets. The hotel also helped us to book a vehicle. We wasn't satisfied with the company the hotel chooses from so look up the suggest company before deciding. Regardless, we got the help we wanted from the hotel. Room: 4.5/5 The room was quite small, but not too small. Had small balconies toward the pool area a big bathroom with a bathtub. The AC was working like a charm. The one minus is that the beds are too hard. (like most of the beds in Greece) Poolarea: 4/5 The pool area is really cosy, the only negative is that the pool itself did not seem inviting. The water wasn't clear as one might want to find in a pool. Breakfast: 2/5 Very small buffé, the eggs looked like pancakes. One kind of bread Yoghurt and the rest was cookies. This was the biggest disappointment of the hotel. Cleanliness: 5/5 Clean and tidy, nothing to add here. Just the way you might expect from a 4 star hotel. All in all, I recommend this hotel, and would give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the breakfast

The hotel was okay but that‘s it. It’s a small, familiar hotel. We had a room in the basement which meant that we had no separate balcony for ourselves. The furniture is rather old and not what I consider to be placed in a 4 star hotel. The beds were not the most comfortable, but just about acceptable. We had a rather serious mosquito problem in our room and went on a killing spree every night so we could get some sleep. Breakfast was basic and alright, but we would have prefered a bigger selection and perhaps the option for dinner at the hotel. The staff is always perfectly friendly and tries very hard for you to have a good time and answer all your questions, we very much appreciated that. The pool and atrium are very enjoyable and gave good space for a break. A bus connection is well given so even with the location in Ano Mera you can get to the Chora very quickly. There‘s a supermarket, a pharmacy and several restaurants nearby and Kalo Livadi beach can be walked to in about 20min, we were very satisfied with that. In summary we had an acceptable stay at the hotel, but missed some comfort features that we think should be provided in a 4 star hotel and would have much improved our stay.

The people is nice the hotel and the room are cute but and a big but is that the location is in middle of nowhere there is a small town near at 5 minutes road walking but the center is really far and the public transportation is hard because of the schedules of the busses, if you want to go to the center on night you have to go early noon or you will not be able to do it and if you can, maybe you will have to pay a taxi to come back. The hotel doesn't not have any transportation to the hotel or to the center so is a must to travel by yourself if you have a vehicle, great, if not take care of the busses schedule. The swimming pool was a nice touch but you can not use it, it opens at 11 morning and closes at 9 pm, so it's difficult to see a time to be able to use it, in the morning before you go to other more touristic places.

The hotel is really beautiful, the room was clean and noiseless, the bed very comfortable, the swimming pool incredible! The staff really kind and nice. The only problem is the renting car company they work with: Rizos Bikes. It was awful. We were waiting for 2h 10 min to get the vehicle and more problems with the return way to the port they promited us and they changed in the last moment. The staff of the hotel helped us to solve these problems and we feel really grateful, but don't rent with the car company if you don't want to lose your time.

Amazing hotel, with very friendly staff. A special thanks to Stefanie who was always so smily and helpful, recommended us a very nice Car rental and even made the booking of a restaurant for my wife's birthday.. Our room was kept clean everyday. Our only dissapointment was the pool which didn't look that welcoming, but overall, was a nice stay.. The Tavernas on top of the hill, next to the Monaster are very nice

Nice secluded hotel. Reception was very helpful in giving directions to places and assisting me with my room. Unfortunately it was a windy day so I did not get to enjoy sun as much. Regardless this made for a nice nap on a comfy bed
