★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We loved to walk there. The place is so refreshing. But please be careful of the slippery rocks that are just near the water. I fell because i was not expecting them to be so slippery. It was funny for my husband, but not for me :)))

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The remains are not very special, but the hike to this place and the explanations of the process of marble manufacturing along the road are really wonderful.
We went along the track aroung the small peninsula from Aliki beach to Ruin's beach. The walk is around 20 minutes, the track is well organised, there are some beautiful views of the sea.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interesting ancient marble quarry. It is possible to walk along the hiking that leads around the peninsula. In the vicinity are beautiful views and interesting places to photograph.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What an amazing surprise to find near Aliki beach, Thassos. The ancient quarry was a place built for a community of workers that were extracting marble between 6th century B.C. and 6th century A.D. The ruins still standing are a temple lying in a small beautiful gulf and a protochristian church over the hill - take your time to visit the site in silence to learn its beauty.
