A beautiful place with a rare peculiarity in a historical place that you do not show as much as you should from the local institutions. It is worth visiting.

Beautiful little village with a great history. It also has an interesting museum worth visiting for a cheap ticket.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The ancient theater of Chaeronea is located at the foot of a hill on the south side of the village Heronia, 8 km north to Livadia.
The theater was built in the end of the fourth century BC, but it was upgraded during the first century BC, when the town of Boeotia experienced its greatest economic and demographic development.
The theater seats were carved in the mountain rock (there are about 15-16 rows of seats), taking full advantage of the topographic of the hill.
Unfortunately, the site has not yet been seriously excavated, however, it is impressive to see how the local population that lived here over 2,000 years ago, seriously worked to create a high quality place for their cultural life.
If you arrive till here, don't miss the Lion statue of Chaeronea that situated with all its glory on the main road at the east entrance of the village, and the picturesque archaeological site - Oracle Trophonius, in the village of Livadia.
