S	Susanna T on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Όμορφο όπως κάθε αρχαίο μνημείο, ωστόσο χρήζει αξιοποίησης. Τα έργα που κάνουν δεν επιστρέπουν να το δεις από κοντά και ο δρόμος που οδηγεί εκεί είναι αφρόντιστος. Θα μπορούσε να αποτελεί την πρώτη στάση για τον περιηγητή και μαζί με την Ακρόπολη του Ορχομενού και τις Πηγές των τριών Χαρίτων να δημιουργούν ένα ολοκληρωμένο μονοπάτι για τον επισκέπτη ωστόσο δεν βρίσκεις ούτε ταμπέλα ώστε να τα επισκεφθείς σωστά. Beautiful as any ancient monument, however it needs to be exploited. The works they do do not return to see it up close and the road that leads there is careless. It could be the first stop for the traveler and together with the Acropolis of Orchomenos and the Fountains of the three Graces to create a complete path for the visitor but you do not find a sign to visit them properly.

Απόλυτο ενδιαφέρον παρουσιάζει, ακριβώς απέναντι, η βυζαντινή εκκλησία του 9ου αιώνα της Παναγίας Σκριπούς, με ανάγλυφες επιγραφές στους εξωτερικούς τοίχους, εκπληκτικής ομορφιάς εσωτερικό διάκοσμο και ωραίες εικόνες An ancient theater in fairly good condition, next to a vaulted tomb, fenced, without much care, perhaps because it is a relatively recent excavation. Absolutely interesting is the Byzantine church of the 9th century of Panagia Skripous, with relief inscriptions on the exterior walls, stunningly beautiful interior decoration and beautiful icons.

Κρίμα γιατί έχει σωθεί μεγάλο μέρος του και η τοποθεσία είναι όμορφη. If it was open, I would have a better view. Now, what I saw is that there are a lot of slabs scattered, it has not been cleaned and it looks abandoned. Too bad because much of it has been saved and the location is beautiful.

Y	Y.H. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ancient theater of Orchomenos (Viotia) is an impressive and remarkable ancient theater, located on the northwest border of the town Orchomenos, between the Mycenaean vaulted tomb, (Tholos Tomb or "Treasury of Minyas") and the ancient byzantine church - Panagia Skripou (the Dormition of Theotokos). The theater was built at the 4th century B.C. by the Macedonians and it was given as a gift to the people of Orchomenos, for their help to conquer Thiva after the battle of Chaironia at 338 B.C. Later on, during the Roman period (2nd century A.D.), the theater was renovated, and marble seats were added to the cavea and the stage was renewed with marble. The theater was discovered during excavations made at the site at the 70s. Nowadays, the theater is undergoing construction and is only accessible as an archeologic site. If you are passing through the area, it is definitely recommended to visit the impressive archaeological site, including the Tholos Tomb and the magnificent Panagia Skripou church nearby.
