We went to Anogi for dinner as we were staying in Imerovigli. We were disappointed with the food after reading some of the other reviews. We had the tomato balls, fried feta, tzatziki and calamari, followed by a seafood moussaka. In general the food didn't seem particularly fresh, and was quite expensive for what it was. The tomato balls were very greasy. The calamari was also very greasy and quite tough. We couldn't finish it because it was so greasy. The fried feta was fine, as was the tzatziki. The moussaka was just a bit weird, with undercooked potato, very overcooked prawns, and mushy vegetables. It seemed like it had been reheated, and the whole top of the moussaka was stodgy and lifted off like a pie lid. The complimentary dessert of orange cake was tasty, and there was the standard issue complimentary raki. The service was good, and a nice little cat came into the restaurant to say hello.

We ate here last night.. honestly not the greatest food- not terrible either but falls at the bottom of our 9/10 days in Greece. The server was "helpful" but very quick to recommend. Interrupts you as well. I all asked for a glass of wine but was told I needed a bottle. Ohhkay why not? The food, well priced. Maybe £12-25 However when the bill arrived, my wine was £50. I have been satisfied with house wine by glass. My husband even said I got robbed. Not really our greatest experience... so maybe the moral of the story is-- don't feel pressured to order so much food like we did (huge portions for only 2 people) and a glass of wine will do! Wouldn't go back. Pictured is the pork shank.

Food is fantastic and the staff super nice. Just two tips: always make reservation otherwise impossible to find a table and order starter and main course only if super hungry, portions are massive ?

This place is amazing. It was so amazing that we ended up dining here 3 out of our 5 nights in Santorini. We had to cancel our fine dining reservations to come back and enjoy the food at Anogi. The food is amazing and the service is great. I did not have a single dish that disappointed. The saganaki was so special.

One of the best restaurants I’ve ever had especially for the price point. Service was really good as well with friendly waiters. Grilled octopus, sea bream and lamb shank were all seasoned and cooked amazingly

Awesome Greek food experience! The great service matches to the great food! Even if you are not fan of octopus, ask for the “Grilled octopus” as starter and change your mind! Simply impressive. Another must-try is the grilled chicken Souvlaki. If you are in doubt, we hope this post helps you to decide! Go for it!!

5 stars and would give 10 if we could. Wait staff friendly and attentive who share all these stars with the flavorful, authentic Greek dishes. Best grilled octopus ever, lamb’s shank tender and seafood orzo perfectly cooked. Must make this one of your stops!
