Small but very beautiful the Archaeological Museum of Drama! If you want to read all the information provided in each exhibit, the full tour of the museum will not take more than 1 hour. Very interesting exhibits from the Paleolithic to the modern era.!

The Archaeological museum of Drama is a place dedicated to the prehistoric, ancient, late-antique and byzantine history of the area of Drama. It is situated in a modern building and is easily accessible. The collection of the museum contains wonderful examples of ancient Greek red-figure pottery, sculptures and inscriptions from the Hellenistic and the Roman ages. The people working there are great and the information in English added to each of the exhibits is very useful.

A really excellent local museum with fantastic finds. I particularly enjoyed the Roman funerary inscriptions and the more recent history of Drama (Ottoman and 19th century)

Visiting the museum was a great experience, even though it's not very big, there are very interesting exhibits, including a very large tusk found in a cave nearby. The exhibits are well displayed and there is information available about each item. I learnt stuff I didn't know, of course they're all items found in the local area, which shows how old and full of history the place is. I think it's for kids to visit and get in touch with history.
