There is nothing interesting or precious to see besides a few broken vases. Empty rooms are filled up with modern art exhibits. Waste of time!

My trip design of heytripster took me here after lunch. It was a small, but delightful museum. There is a big collection of ancient greek vases, jewels, etc... Highy recommended if you like museums. I also have a photo of this place but an older one :)

Small museum with lots of archaeological excavations exhibited. When I visited, there was an additional exhibition of the history of Mykonos in pictures. This was refreshing in an otherwise rather monotonous display. It was also interesting to see how artifacts are restored even when some pieces of the "puzzle" are missing.

Mykonos Island is something you would like to see and visit historically.

This is a nice little museum to show off the artifacts that were found in the region. It was reasonably priced at 4€ per person. It’s a little hard to find as there aren’t any big signs. You have to go up a ramp, then a bend to the right, and the building will be on the right. See the picture attached.

Nice small museum with permanent display of Denos ceramic and other finds and temporary exhibits. Jewelry exhibit during our visit had ancient finds juxtaposed with contemporary designers. An interesting thing was to see in Neolithic case a gold bead and bronze pendant: while Neolithic age is by definition “new stone” it seems metal was beginning to be found...

Small but affordable museum. The wrap-around exhibit discussing the greek revolution is nice but the english translation isn't always very clear and as a result it can be a bit hard to follow. The ancient greek pots, vases and etc... displayed in the central room are definitely worth the visit however, and the accompanying text in that room is thankfully much clearer. It takes less than an hour to see everything in the museum, so you might as well do it if you're staying in Mykonos.

What a gem this museum is. I know Mykonos is known for beaches beautiful Cycladic architecture and the night life. This museum puts it all in perspective. Plus until the end of October there is a Robert McCabe photo exhibition.
