DELOS rent a car - mykonos town

We wanted a basic car for 9 days and got what we needed at a good price. The car had a few dents when we collected it as is often the case in Greece. The attendant took photos of them all and encouraged me to do the same but no problems when I returned it. No journey in Mykonos took more than 30 minutes so there was no need for anything more than a basic car. Vicky and Demetri are very friendly and gave some good advice on where to eat and drink in town.

Avoid. Find another car rental in Mykonos. If you can’t, then use a cab. Or walk, even that is a better option. The “boss” here is very rude, very angry, definitely does not care about you but only about emptying your pocket. Charged 280 EUR for a small scratch on a Fiat Panda, although the scratch happened overnight when the car was in park situation (in a parking space that is used by all, was not a blind spot or anything like that!). God knows he did the scratch himself to get money out of it. When we said that it is not fair, the answer was “you can go to a repair shop and ask yourselves” knowing that we are tourists in the island and had a ferry in 20 minutes. They did not even care enough to convince us with facts that it was a fair calculation. Then they said we can pay cash (240 EUR), we tried to withdraw money from 2 atms nearby they showed but none was working. So we said we will pay by card which turned the “boss” into a monster. He started yelling in both English and Greek which is double times rude since we cannot understand Greek and maybe he was swearing at us. Then he started saying we would ride on his motorbike to go get money from another atm????? It was completely awful. PLEASE STAY AWAY FOR YOUR OWN SAKE. It was the one and only bad moment in a 2 weeks trip in beautiful Greece full of amazing people, very good service, hospitality, incredible nature. It is a shame that this was the last memory. Read the responses of this “company” to other negative reviews and you will see what i mean.

We rented a Peugeot in Delos rent a car and it was much better than the ones we rented in Naxos or Paros. The price it’s worthy and we needed to go to airport and for 10€ they drove us there. The service is top, very nice people and the car and the price were fine. If you go to mykonos, this is a great place to rent. 10 over 10.

Excellent service. Everything was very clear and straightforward. Staff are very friendly and professional. Cars are in great condition and there is a large variety to choose from depending on your needs. Also great value for money for Mykonos. Very friendly staff and best prices in Mykonos, believe me as I also matched some other car rentals. The Fiat was in a perfect condition and made a great job discovering the most beatiful beaches at Mykonos. Also I had been saved by Delos from paying penalty to authorities: I had parked the car in a nearby parking restriction area (always take care at traffic signs where "removal of signs" is shown). Luckily I had parked nearby Delos, they had been contacted by authorities and reparked the car on their own parking site, without charging my fooling. Thank you very much for this great service, you made my day :-) And I really do not understand some negative feedback left by some persons here (maybe it`s up to them?). Deposit was 400€, amount was blocked on my credit card and was recharged after rental within 48 hours without any problems. I would highly recommend everyone Delos for renting a car, you won`t regret. They also offer a parking site for a little fee (please note that free parking sites a rare at Mykonos).
