★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not much left to see of the ruins. The area is very overgrown and a lot of it seems gated off. So we did not walk all the way back to the sea wall. Still interesting to see the abandoned city. It's free to enter, there is a suggestion to download a phone app for a walking tour.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very interesting site, but the excavations are still going, so there isn't that much to see. It's free though and has some historical information at the entrance. There's also an app with the site map that you can open on your phone. It's worth a visit if you are staying in Falassarna area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very interesting and a nice area for a walk. It's only about 1 kilometers from civilization, but remember to bring water. There's nothing but olive trees and goats out there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2. 9. 2020 We seek out these monuments. Everything has already been written in positive reviews before us. Totally wrong driveway, wrong markings. We would have expected much better access to this rather important monument – somewhat neglected. I recommend everyone who is interested in these monuments. More travel video youtube PSIS-visit. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An ancient cretan city state that was destroyed by the Romans for harboring pirates. The site became lost before being re-discovered by the British in the 19th century. The site is open from Monday to Friday until 15 pm. It is also possible to download an app (only for Ios) that allows the visitor to see a virtual reconstruction of the ancient city

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We showed up on bikes. Down a dirt road to a sprawling site. A former port that was abandoned after a huge earthquake lifted it up about 30 feet from the level it was built at. Interactive lessons if you want more information. Great site.
