constructed entirely of marble. It had an external colonnade of 6x13
columns, and its dimensions 11.60m. x 24.00m. Built 520-510 BC.
The Roman travel-writer Pausanias says: From Asea is an ascent up Mount Boreius, and on the top of the mountain are traces of a sanctuary. It is said that the sanctuary was built in honor of Athena Saviour and Poseidon by Odysseus after his return from Troy.
