★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Astonishing views of the Plateau, superb wildlife and a chance to see the last redoubt of the Minoan culture. Wild flowers on the mountains and golden eagles were a hilight for me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's not so much the small mountain as such that is worth visiting but it's a very nice hiking tour from Krasi via the Karfi and back (or, of course) the other way round. There are also alternatives to the Karfi, for example the (more difficult) Selena. Everywhere you get great views in the sea as well as the Lasithi Plateau.
