★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a stunningly picturesque Monastery with an absolutely gorgeous panoramic view of the countryside below. It offers a small museum of ecclesiastical documents, icons, jewellery and even robes. The church is small and considering withstanding centuries of war, wear and tear, graffiti and use it still manages to display some original frescoes which were uncovered In the recent 70's. The entire site is worth the visit if you are on your way from the Palace of Malia to the Dictean Cave in Psichro (or vice versa) and came at a steal for only 2€.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bring two euros per adult for restoration and appreciate the work done. Have a look to the ancient pictures on the plaster. Much work remains to be done but wonderful had been done nice collection of bibles and church 's artefacts

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super quaint place to visit whilst on crete ladies showing bare legs are asked to cover up - wraps for legs provided. Peaceful atmosphere even as a tourist attraction felt very humble here. Interesting displays very well kept. Really clean place. Enjoyed my visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Peaceful and relaxing place up to the road to lasithi Plato .you feel like closer to divine ,the view is very nice from the garden of the monastery.the very old church is one of a kind with very old painting. There is a small store to buy oil from monastery and nice pictures even hand made ones.
