If you ever been in this area, please you have to go in Fystiki. Their coffee is one of a kind. The decoration amazing!

Small port with the bare minimum.

Great thing that they now accept major cards as Visa/Mastercard. Makes it lot easier, really.

Nothing special. A decent, small port, but never encountered any issues. Don't expect much. All sorts of fast food and coffee shops in walking distance. No building to wait into.

Busy port, during summer months, regular service but not as often as expected, you can enjoy a nice coffee while waiting for the ferry

Simple and effective if like to go accross to Aedipsos. Note much to see but i like the short boat trip.

Not the most exciting place although the souvlaki across the street is pretty good and there's a lovely waiting area near the docs. Still, don't get your hopes up to high, it's just a standard port nothing special

One of the few ferry ports I have more frequently used so far. In central Germany, where we live, there are not so many occasions to use a ferry, if at all. Therefore, in my opinion as a ferry-layman, the ferry dock is quite alright as it fulfils it's purpose: entering and leaving the roll-on/roll-off ferries to Edipsos is possible here. Besides that, there is not much to say. Only the dock, a small marina for the fishing boats, some taverns across the street (where refreshments, snacks and coffee are available) and a small gift-shop are situated here. Generally, the seaside of Arkitsa is more of a provincial backwater. In combination with the sea and the beautiful landscape (and blanking out the omnipresent rubbish and litter laying around mostly everywhere in Greece) it is a quite charming place. The rating is only four stars, because students from foreign universities - unlike local students - cannot benefit from a student-reduction of the fare. Firstly, a clear violation of European law, legislation and jurisdiction and secondly just rude. One fine day, such unthoughtfulness in the treatment of guests (which we have come across too many times in Greece by now) in a country that is mainly living of tourism, might be the straw that breaks the camel's back; i.e. fewer visitors, less revenue.
