The real old traditional Cretan kitchen! Delicious everything that has been cooked from klios hands! Kanakis the owner always helpful and smiley! Perfect place to enjoy lunch or dinner!

A delight of a place. A limited menu when we arrived, but a reasonable selection offered. Very friendly and memorable experience.

This taverna, which is a little back from the sea, serves homemade and homegrown food cooked with love. We savoured the fried zucchini flowers stuffed with locall cheese, the fried eggplant and zucchini, all with excellent tzaziki, and we look forward to trying the goat stifado next time. The complimentary dessert of strong raki, fresh figs and prickly pear was very special. Thank you for a delicious meal!!!

Wonderful! Very warm and kind couple. The guy is a fisherman and together with his wife they cook fresh delicious food. Fresh fish, meat, local cheese. Also Vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. Beautiful view.

With all the good intention the food is a miss and was unfortunately a disappointment. Plus, to match it, most expensive lunch on our stay in Crete.

We have eaten there several times and 7-29-2021 was so bad we will never be back. The wine was obviously reused and the goat dish was from one or two days earlier.

This is the best place we have eaten on Crete, and we've travelled quite a lot. The restaurant is run by a local couple who are very friendly and helpful. Most of the ingrediends are their own produce including the olives, wine, meat and the catch (the owner is fishing himself). It is worth to go there and try how the dishes should actually taste like. Please note that there is no printed menu as everything depends on what is available on the day. We have tried the octopuss, squid, mousakka, stuffed tomatoes, aubergine sald, greek salad. Everything was fresh and tasty.

Off the beaten track, yet within the walking distance to the beautiful beach. Surrounded with coutless plants shading you from the Cretan sun is where we accidentally stumbled upon this gem. We ate and drank with astonished satisfaction, asked for more and left with the sense of revelation and discovery, only to come back again for more. The taste of every single dish (and you need no menu, just ask what's available this day) was superb. All local, organic rich in flavour ingredients combined with years of experience running the place makes this an absolute must for food lovers. The owner can also tell a story, offer a cactus fruit he keeps on peeling at the moment or a glass of 45 years old wine that's only slightly older than the restaurant itself. Unforgettable experience and the best wild goat you can have!
