P	Philip Maicos on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An exceptional arthouse cinema that consistently delivers the best independently produced films by established auteurs as well as up-and-coming directors. The films shown here have often won awards in prestigious festivals (Berlin, Cannes, Venice) and are just as likely shot in English as in Greek, in French as in Japanese. Over the past couple of years in Astor, I've only seen films of high aesthetic standards and I've discovered some of my current favourite directors. This gem of a cinema is definitely worth a visit (or more!) and is easily accessed - its entrance is inside an arcade bustling with cafés, directly beside the exit of Panepistimio metro on pedestrianised Korai street.

The cinema seats are comfortable though I think taller people might feel cramped. The movies are mainly for cinephils. I loved the Golden Nights Festival of Short Films held here in June!
