Situated near the fish market, we tasted here delicious cretan plates. The portions are very big. They treat you first with the local drink and in the end they serve ice-cream and fruits. I recommend.

If you really want to taste traditional Cretan Food, then this is the place you're looking for. Located in the centre of Heraclion it is very easy to find. As soon as we seated they brought us Raki! The staff was Very helpful and assisted us In deciding the dishes while the service was excellent. At the end they treated us with some traditional Greek sweets. 10/10 would go again!

Totally not worth it! Went on recommendation of hotel staff, reviews, and photos on their website. I had in mind what I would order - they did not have either of the entrees I had seen on their website. The veggie items we ordered were good - grilled veggies and boiled greens. The name sake salad did not have the purslane shown in the pictures. My fellow dinner liked the chicken entree - I tasted the sauce and agreed. I ordered the pork chop and figured it must be good. WRONG. I got a boneless, paper thin, overcooked piece of meat. When the bill came, we were surprised that we had been charged for the bread they brought to our table unrequested. BTW, the seemingly quaint outdoor patio (where we sat) overlooks the entrance to a busy underground parking garage. Not a selling point. My recommendation is to look elsewhere when in Heraklion.

Amazing food, atmosphere and service. The lamb was cooked and spiced to perfection. The cooked and honeyed feta was the perfect addition to the meal.

This place is totally worth it. Tucked away in the neighborhood, there is a lovely patio out back. I forgot to take photos of our entrees, but we had the Wild Meat Stew, which was fantastic, maybe the best thing I've eaten in Crete, and the Goat in Tomato Sauce, which was so good that our dinner partners wouldn't share! The salads and stuffed Vine leaves were also great. And there is an unusual dessert that really caps it all off

Weird place. On one hand, one of the best dishes we had in Crete, on the other, the worst. Both lamb. The one in the pot was delicious and just melted in your mouth, the dry.looking one was just that. It was chewy and fiddly. Nice starters and dessert, though I'll never get to liking Raki, no matter what way they serve it. Still recommend, just don't get the dry meat...

I went to this restaurant on the second to my last day in Greece and man, the food regret is unbearable knowing that I will not have another chance to eat here again. Ridiculously good lamb, probably the best one I’ve ever had. Because of the way the lamb is cooked, you‘ve got different textures like crispy bits, fatty bits, tender bits, chewy bits (in a good kind of way since you wanna chew on the meat for a while before it disappears). So the eating experience doesn’t get boring at all. If you are into this kind of experience than I would highly recommend giving this place a try! Also nicest staff ever!!
