★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A word of advice, always select to be charged in euro if you withdraw 20 euro or more. Never use the conversion option! After choosing euro, you will be asked again if you want to continue with conversion. Trick question! No, you don’t want to continue with conversion! Press decline/cancel conversion. Eurobank claim that their conversion rates are competitive, but they are not! For withdrawal of 150 euros they offered me conversion to be charged 1760 SEK. When instead choosing to be charged in Euro, which incurred an added 2,5 euro fee, the charged amount by my bank would be about 1676 SEK. And that even includes my banks currency conversion fee of 1,75 %. A saving (or possible loss) of 84 SEK, roughly 7,8 euro.
One other ATM I found charged 3 euro, so in that regard this ATM is a bit better. Other ATM offer similar conversions. Just google search for “atm currency conversion scam crete” or similar.
