I have mixed fillings about this... The doctors do very good work in some departments and very bad in others... My grandmother went there for a check up and ended up dying from a sickness she got in there (actually she died after having overcome 3 but then she got a 4th) They weren't even feeding her in her last 6 days even though she still was conscious... On the other hand they saved my uncle for almost free... He had a heart attack and they did their best... So even though it took someone from me it also saved one and even though I was closer to my granny she propably wouldn't have long to leave and yes my uncle would propably of propably gone to another Hospital but then he wouldn't have to pay the bills... So even tho my experience was pretty bad... I think it still decent in many cases.

The facilities seem okay but I can't comment on care because I didn't receive any. The staff was rather jumpy and rude, with a "not my problem" attitude. They are probably understaffed, which explains the long wait times for appointments and the staff's general "who do you think you are to get treatment sooner" response. I opted for a private hospital instead. Afternoon paid appointments are more humane in terms of attention and wait times but that defies the purpose of public healthcare, the price of 60 euros is comparable to a private facility.

Big hospital, good doctors, probably a bit understaffed.. Experience depends on which clinic you need. University clinics though are of highest quality.

Hello everyone I would like to share with you my story about this hospital. A good big hospital and fast service. I took my wife an ambulance and she is infected with Covid 19 and she must undergo a delivery, as she is pregnant. I went to all private hospitals, they refused, and some government hospitals did not have the possibility to put the child after birth in a nursery under the care and put the mother in the pregnant women’s ward or perform labor operations. But this hospital it is the best , and really i liked the moment when they say to me you are welcome in the hospital and don't worry everything will be ok they really give me the hope, it very clean and experienced doctors who have knowledge of the situation, quick medical advice, presenting the crisis as quickly as possible, performing the surgical work, maintaining the mother’s safety and the peace of the newborn, and placing him in the place that keeps him safe, far from the father and mother infected with Covid 19, and this is what made me happy. In the end, I can only say thank you for their tremendous efforts and thank you to all the workers in this hospital. They are the real soldiers who work day and night, endangering their lives and the lives of their families for the sake of the peace of the citizen and providing medical care. I trust this hospital and it is the best in all aspects, for example, the medical side. There are many medical staff Our alternates, including consultants, doctors, new doctors, and students under supervision on the humanitarian level, I swear that I have not seen any inhumane situation. All the staff, doctors and nurses are human, and they care about the patient’s comfort on the public side. A clean hospital receives all cases and does not refuse in any case. Believe me, it is difficult to be in an emergency situation. And you refuse to receive private hospitals in order to die on the street, and for some hospitals to reject you, it is a very difficult feeling, and I am the father. Thank you for giving me your time and hearing my story. I wish everyone health and wellness, and stay well and safe. Best Regards Mohammad Tayeb

Tried to book an appointment and the attitude of the receptionist was classic Greek dismissive and unhelpful like she was making me a favour to even respond to the call. She very coldly suggested to call 1535 which I did, and there was no availability. Called back and the receptionist just said ''I can't do anything'' and hung up.

The facilities are above the average Greek public hospitals, the nurses, although understaffed, were polite and helpful but the surgeon's have attitude issues. My mother was admitted with a broken hip and the next day the doctor (with 10 young dr's following him) that came to see the patients did not say ANYTHING to us. When I confronted them in the hallway, he told me that for the surgery we will need 2 bottles of blood and 7 to 10 day's UNTIL surgery. Every private doctor I spoke to told me that it should be operated on within 48 hours. How can a fractured hip (from an accident) wait 7 to 10 days to be operated on?!
