★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ordered a sea bream in carrot and ginger bed and a chicken souvlaki. I would say it was very average. It wasn't bad at all, but the expectations in Greece are already high and a place with a rating 4.9 with so many reviews, I expected more. Not an unforgettable dinner.
The dessert and shot offered where very good thoguth!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Superb. You must try their wine! Food is also fabulous! Service is very good and everyone is really friendly and polite. You must visit this place when you come to Malia! I am impressed. We have been travelling all around Crete and until now this is better than any other taverna we have visited.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely amazing. The waiter and service were very friendly and sweet!! The food was incredible, local ingredients and homemade:)! Starting from the olive oil to the home made bread, starters and main course everything was amazing and delicious. In the end we got homemade rose raki which was very nice as well. Also the location and the interior of the place are just super lovely, right in old town of Malia. I highly recommend.?

Outstanding food and service.
Our best meal in Greece after 10 days. We went in for a quick meal without any expectation and ended up eating delicious traditional food, right out of the oven. Impressive, if you need a fair priced great meal near Melia you cannot miss this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely delicious food! This restaurant is located in a 200 year old building that is artfully updated to reflect the farm to table motif. We had the Dakos and Lamb Shank cooked in the wood fired ovens. After tasting the bread, we ordered an additional loaf. All the food was artfully created and tasted great. Highly recommend this restaurant. The menu marks foods that are Gluten-free and Cretan specific.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This may have been the best meal we had in Greece. Everyone was so patient and friendly. The avli salad was soooo good. All the flavors worked together nicely. The apaki was something new for us but we enjoyed it as well. The bowl it came in was made of baked cheese to be broken apart and add some crunch to the salad.
She enjoyed her chicken and veggies. I loved my salmon pasta. Leftovers tasted even better. They even came around with complementary dessert/drinks. We regret not going back the next night to try other things on the menu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Everything we had we exceptional, tastes were great, portions were large and the prices normal for the environment and the service we received. Bottled wines are in the range of 12-20€ and there are plenty of fresh local beers.
The pork kontosouvli was rather dry and hard to chew and compared to all the other dishes was by far the weakest one. Next time I’ll try the chicken one.
