★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gute Autovermietung. Habe hier schon mehrfach gemietet und wir hatten nie ein Problem. Die Autos waren immer in Ordnung und sowohl bei der Übergabe als auch bei der Rücknahme lief immer alles Reibungslos ab.
Good car rental. Have rented here several times and we never had a problem. The cars were always in order and both the handover and the return always went smoothly.

Affordable bus to Olympic 8 € for 25km. Staff speaking all languages and friendly. Were making 20% off boutique purchases. I got a beautiful straw hat for € 9.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I rented a car for five people online for about 155 Euro (!!!) for one day at Avis at the Katakolon port. I realized that the fee was very high, but I could not find a local small rental car agency that allowed me to book a car online. I was very disappointed when I got the car - it was an old beaten-up Opel Corsa with 137,000 kilometers (!!!) on it. The car just about died each time we drove up a hill (we went to Olympia and back). I have never driven an old car like this - not even in my student days. I fully expected to get a good car from Avis - why else would I have booked through them? When I complained to the office people about this old beaten-up car at the end of the trip (I only then fully realized how bad the car was), they said they could not do anything about this as their head office sends them these cars. I don't know if this is true, but I have my doubts. The brand Avis certainly got a bad reputation in my view after this disappointing experience. Even being a Preferred Avis customer didn't make a difference. Advice to others: I did the booking on the Avis website, but strangely I wasn't charged right away. So I should have just walked away when I was shown the car and looked for a car at a local small rental agency. Yes, I may have gotten an older car as well, but at least at a much better rate.
