Bay's Hotel - Main Street

I was looking for an inexpensive stay in Spetses BUT close to the main town and with a pool, and Bays fit the bill perfectly. The rooms are basic but clean, the breakfast was plentiful, the staff were lovely, no complaints here. Only issue was finding the hotel on a quad, Google maps was no help, but we deserve that for hiring the stupid monstrosity. Plus we got to see plenty of quaint back streets and alleyways on our quad travels.

This was the best hotel experience ever! The hotel was very cozy & super clean. the yard was like my home's yard while the entire neighborhood was quite and so picturesque, perfect place to clean your head and have a antistress weekend. The owner of the hotel, Mr Grigoris really made us feel like home.. He was very kind, informative, and he also took care of our last minute guest moving us with only a tiny extra charge to a far bigger room. Breakfast was super tasty with high quality products (handmade cakes, pita breads, not oily scrambled eggs etc). I looked forward to writing this review as it is the only practical way to publicly say THANK YOU. Cu again!! ?

3.5 star. A basic hotel that will tick most of your boxes while you’re in Spetses. Customer service fantastic, personable and attentive. Hotel staff even checking in with us the day of our arrival to see if we wanted a transfer from the port (we had originally declined). Check in fast, efficient and informative, providing details of the island, beaches to visit and public transport options. Hotel pool was great addition, as was the pool bar. Room very basic and a little cell like - the thing that scores this 3.5 star. Despite this, the room was clean and beds comfortable. Standard continental breakfast, plenty of options and lovely addition of some delicious home made condiments and pastries.

Basic accommodation with basic facilities. The photos on booking.com are apparently much better than it is in reality. We expected it to be cleaner, especially during covid. Very, very basic room, although I must say the pillows were good. But that's it. We were told they are not cleaning rooms during our stay due to covid. Well, if you are very short on budget, you can go there. I'm definitely not going back.

First impressions were those of reservation and whether the walk from town was too long . Our close friends expected more and rescheduled to alternate establishment (they said they felt the images and presentation on the web was slightly misleading). Truth be told we are situated at a building detached and separate from the hotel, but it's clean, tidy and honest even if it's basic in amenities the essentials are here. Nothing more nothing less. The pool area is sweet however the surrounding area is just enough (just) for the deck chairs and cafe area (again nothing more nothing less). Something you don't realize is that it's precisely that and yes the pictures lead you to assume the pool area and Hotel behind are where you are staying but families are wisely perhaps in a separate building. We enjoyed our stay since it was an honest solution but constructively speaking it would benefit greatly with lighter furniture colors (black metal doesn't feel like summer ) and upon rsserbation a comment on whether or not you will be in the main hotel or not. Bed side cabinet lights and a fridge door that's closes properly would be great. Despite all that if you get past the first impressions its a good option and an honest one (misleading pictures aside - everyone does it - the place is fine). P.S. during our stay, with 30°C during the days, the evening breeze was wonderful for a great night's sleep ? even without switcjingnom the two quite powerfull AC units.

Thank you for your hospitality, Bay’s family! Here you will meet a super nice staff, always helpful, friendly as well. Rooms are clean, with a beautiful view to the sea. There is a pool with the bar. It’s nice atmosphere there. They have breakfast as well. The location is peaceful, quiet, pretty close to restaurants, bars. We enjoyed the place very much!

We had a very nice room, clean and beautiful. The double bed was quite big and very comfortable, we slept very well. The staff was polite and helpful. The bar is right beside the pool which is nice and clean and the coffee was pretty good. Definitely satisfied with my stay.

When we arrived on the island (we arrived very early) we called them to ask them what time we can check in. They told us "right now" and they send a car to pick us up from the port to hotel. They were very gentle and polite, the room was clean and tidy, they had room service for cleaning daily. There is a bar at the pool that you can order your breakfast and also you can have coffee, beer or drinks. The pool is open until 9 p.m. Special tip, they can arrange you motorcycle to rent, that was exceptional for me! From the room you can have a spectacular view.
