Huge beach, next to the estuary of Acheloos. All year round you will see several kite surfers, who in summer flood the beach and create an incredible colorful spectacle.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ίσως όχι ό,τι έχει ο Έλληνας πρωτίστως στο μυαλό του ως "παραλία, καλοκαίρι, θάλασσα", αλλά βρείτε μου άλλο σημείο στην Ελλάδα που προσφέρει ταυτόχρονα:
Μαιάνδρους και εκβολές ποταμού (ίσως του "σημαντικότερου" στην Ελλάδα), ιχθυοκαλλιέργεια, κτηνοτροφία, πολυπολιτισμικότητα, παραλία, αχανή έκταση, kite surfing δρώμενα, υπέροχη θέα στο Ιόνιο + Κεφαλλονιά και ιστορικά μνημεία στην εγγύτητα (Οινιάδες).
Ένα μέρος που πραγματικά γουστάρω να επισκέπτομαι αν και μένω στην άλλη άκρη της Ελλάδας. Και με χαλαρώνει. Πολύ.
Maybe not what the Greek primarily has in mind as "beach, summer, sea", but find me another place in Greece that offers at the same time:
Meanders and river estuaries (perhaps the "most important" in Greece), fish farming, animal husbandry, multiculturalism, beach, vast area, kite surfing events, wonderful views of the Ionian Sea + Cephalonia and historical monuments nearby (Oiniades).
A place I really enjoy visiting even though I live on the other side of Greece. And it relaxes me. Very.
