★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My 83 year old mother and I were traveling from Naxos Island back to Athens on the 9:30 AM blue star ferry on Saturday, July 7, 2018. Upon embarking at Naxos there was a large ferry employees at the base of the escalator directing guests up thr escalator. My mother and I were both dragging small wheeled carry-ons. The guy at the base of the escalator pushed me as I stepped on. Then, he pushed my mom, who was right behind me, so hard that she fell off balance and I had to hold her to keep her from falling as we ascended the escalator. I yelled at the guy, and then complained to ferry staff, who only shrugged. Unbelievable!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The worst vacation experience ever.The Blue Star agents dont know their blindness as we say here in Greece.They make you a ping pong ball between the company and the associated agencies and in the islands they dont have agents but Pirates that ripped off even refugees.So as afar away as you can.They are surely better "shops" out there.And dont try to troll the review is very actual.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First review summer 2018: Blue Star Patmos from Ios to Naxos and two days later from Naxos to Piraeus. Very comfortable, modern vessel. Fully-booked journey to Piraeus, hygienic conditions got worse and worse with the hours. Not a single smile from the crew on both trips.
Review summer 2020: Blue Star Paros - use of masks strictly enforced, ship was cleaned frequently, bins emptied, good overall impression and punctual service. Blue Star Myconos - dirty vessel, first cleaning on decks after 8 hours at sea, no interest in mask enforcement. Blue Star 2 - extremely clean, frequent cleanings, comfortable lounge seatings. There is no typical Blue Star service, the overall impression simply depends on the spirit of the crew of the vessel you are on.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I traveled from Skiathos to Volos and can not recommend Blue Star Ferries! The Ferry was overbooked so that not all passengers had a seat. There is NO concept for covid prevention! Just one angry women yelling to wear a mask. This is not a concept!!! Due to the full ferry it was not possible to remain 1,5 m from other passengers. The last 30 min to Volos were the worst because there was again no concept how the passengers should leave the ferry. So there were hundreds of people standing at the corridors from all decks and trying to get trough one small exit door. No one from the crew was there to manage the situation. No safe travel possible.
Blue star ferries - never again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The company is usually reliable. Most ferries are leaving and arriving on time. However, lately there have been more and more unexpected timetable changes (not due to bad weather) that are communicated a couple of days before without any explanation. This is frustrating especially when there is no reasoning behind it and clients are just told their schedule changed out if nowhere. Also, for the winter timetables, I find it unacceptable that the evening ferry from Cyclades to Piraeus in February 2022 has been moved from 19:45 to 23:30 (example of Paros).
