Υπαρχει χωματοδρομος που φτανει ευκολα μεχρι τη γεφυρα, απλα θελει προσοχη αν βρεχει γιατι εχει σε καποια σημεια αποτομη κλιση. Η Γέφυρα Ντεμπρίζ ή αλλιώς Στρεφέικο γεφύρι (επειδή βρίσκεται κοντά στο χωριό Στρέφι της Μεσσήνης), είναι από τα παλαιότερα πέτρινα γεφύρια στη Μεσσηνία, καθώς κτίστηκε κατά τον 16ο αιώνα από τους Φράγκους. Ήταν η μόνη γέφυρα που ένωνε την επαρχία Πυλίας με τη Μεσσήνη, πάνω από τον ποταμό Βελίκα στην επί αιώνες κεντρική οδική αρτηρία Πύλου – Ανδρούσας. Κτίστηκε επίσης, για να ενώσει τα ενετικά κάστρα της γύρω περιοχής: Το κάστρο Ντεμπρίζ, που απείχε ένα χιλιόμετρο από τη γέφυρα, το κάστρο της Πελεκανάδας, τρία κάστρα στα Διόδια, το κάστρο στο Κεφαλόβρυσο, το κάστρο Σαν Φλάουρος, στο χωριό Παλαιόκαστρο και το κάστρο της Άνω Βουταίνης. Όλα εκτείνονταν σχεδόν παράλληλα προς τον ποταμό και σε μήκος 15 χιλιομέτρων. Η Γέφυρα Ντεμπρίζ από αρχιτεκτονικής πλευράς είναι αψιδωτή με μία καμάρα και παρουσιάζει ελάχιστη αμβλεία γωνία στο επάνω μέρος της που τείνει προς τον γοτθικό ρυθμό. Κατασκευασμένη από ασβεστόλιθο, έχει μεγάλο ύψος και μήκος, το δε πλάτος της είναι τόσο που από εκεί περνούσαν παλιότερα και αυτοκίνητα. Η γεφυρα βρίσκεται σε πολύ καλή κατάσταση αν λάβουμε υπόψη τους αιώνες που στέκει πάνω από τα νερά του ποταμού. Διαβαζουμε στον Καστρολογο: Σημειωτέον ότι η γέφυρα είναι σίγουρα ενετική. Είναι μάλιστα πανομοιότυπη με άλλες ενετικές γέφυρες στην Κύπρο και στην Κρήτη. Μάλλον κατασκευάστηκε, τον 15ο αιώνα, την περίοδο που η περιοχή ήταν καθαρά ενετική κτήση δηλαδή μεταξύ 1423 και 1467. Δεν αποκλείεται πάντως να κατασκευάστηκε και λίγο πριν καθώς ήταν συνηθισμένο οι Ενετοί να εξάγουν τεχνογνωσία και να αναλαμβάνουν έργα εκτός των δικών τους περιοχών. Τέλος δεν αποκλείεται να είναι κατασκευή της Β’ Ενετοκρατίας (1685-1715). Αλλά μάλλον το πιο πιθανό είναι να είναι κατασκευή του 15ου αιώνα. It was also built to unite the Venetian castles of the surrounding area: The castle of Debriz, which was one kilometer from the bridge, the castle of Pelekanada, three castles in Diodia, the castle in Kefalovrysso, the castle of San Flauros, in the village of Paleokastro and castle of Ano Voutaini. Everything stretched almost parallel to the river and at a length of 15 kilometers. The Debriz Bridge is architecturally arched with an arch and has a slightly obtuse angle at the top that tends to the Gothic style. Made of limestone, it has a great height and length, and its width is so much that older cars passed through there. The bridge is in very good condition if we take into account the centuries that it stands above the waters of the river. We read in Kastrologos: Note that the bridge is definitely Venetian. In fact, it is identical to other Venetian bridges in Cyprus and Crete. It was probably built in the 15th century, during the period when the area was purely Venetian, ie between 1423 and 1467. It is not ruled out that it was built shortly before as it was customary for the Venetians to export know-how and undertake projects outside their own areas. Finally, it is not excluded that it is a construction of the Second Venetian Empire (1685-1715). But it is probably the most 15th century construction.
