★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Πρόκειται για την αρχαιότερη εν λειτουργία γέφυρα της Ελλάδας. Η κατασκευή της μάλλον τοποθετείται στην ίδια εποχή με την ίδρυση της Αρχαίας Μεσσήνης που βρίσκεται κοντά. Οι ογκόλιθοι που έχουν χρησιμοποιηθεί στη κατασκευή της θυμίζουν αρκετά τα τείχη της Αρχαίας Μεσσήνης. Πρέπει λοιπόν αυτό το μοναδικό μνημείο να τύχει περισσότερης προσοχής και ανάδειξης.
It is the oldest operating bridge in Greece. Its construction probably dates to the same time as the founding of Ancient Messina, which is nearby. The blocks used in its construction are very reminiscent of the walls of Ancient Messina. So this unique monument should receive more attention and highlight.
