★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Το πολύστηλον εντός των αρχαίων Αβδήρων αποτελεί την βυζαντινή διάδοχη κατάσταση. Στέγαζε τον επισκοπικό Ναό την έδρα του επισκόπου υπάρχει σταυροειδές βαπτιστήριο έμπροσθεν του ιερού. Λάρνακες με τα λείψανα των ιερέων και αρχιερέων διασόζονταν μέχρι πριν δεκαετίες. Σήμερα ο νυν Επίσκοπος πρεβαίνει σε Μέγα Εσπερινό κάθε Ιούλιο ζωντανεύοντας την Χριστιανοσύνη που ξεκίνησε εδώ και απλώθηκε σε ολόκληρη την Θράκη. Να παραστείτε σε αυτήν την Λειτουργία είναι θεικό. Κατά τα άλλα εαν περάσετε απο εκεί μην λησμονήσετε να διαβείτε και να θαυμάσετε αρχαία και βυζαντινά μνημεία. Όπως και το αρχαιολογικό Μουσείο Αβδήρων που βρίσκεται στον ομόνυμο οικισμό
The multi-column inside the ancient Abdera is the Byzantine successor state. It housed the episcopal church, the seat of the bishop. There is a crucifixion baptistery in front of the sanctuary. Larnaca with the remains of priests and high priests were preserved until decades ago. Today the current Bishop goes on a Great Vespers every July, reviving the Christianity that began here and spread throughout Thrace. Attending this Liturgy is divine. Otherwise, if you pass by there, do not forget to cross and admire ancient and Byzantine monuments. Like the Archaeological Museum of Abdera located in the homonymous settlement
