★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Every time we drived by Cafe Almyrida, on our way to Yaliskari beach we used to say: let's go for coffee one day. After visiting Paleochora for 15 years, we finally made it. This place is mostly for breakfast. We got there late around 3pm before they're ready to close. They were very nice and friendly and they allowed us to sit. The place is super simple. It's just like: I am a local guy, I have a terrace with a good view of the sea; I'll find some tables and chairs and I'm going to open a Cafe. I know how to make coffee, I'll prepare a menu with 6-7 items and I'm in business. My wife ordered a fruit salad and I ordered fried eggs. Since the kitchen was open I went there to chat with the simple and friendly owners. It reminded me of like: what fruits are there in the refrigerator? I'll use them to make the salad. The day was very hot and the shade not great. The view of the sea was not a reason to spend more time there. Beach time. Cheers and Yeia mas.
