The local Greek people pop into the bar every night too and also help to add to the experience. Lovely little village nearby to explore too. Nice quiet location.

I was a bit anxious because of all the conditions put in place to travel but even before we arrived management had reassured me via Facebook messenger they were able to help with booking tests for our travel certificate to travel back to the UK. Our accommodation was clean and had all the essentials. The food at hotel was tasty, had a good variety and reasonably priced. Lovely little village up the hill with a few places to eat and a little beach at the bottom of the hill with another restaurant. The town Rethymnon is just a short taxi ride away or you can catch a bus from just outside the hotel. There is also a beautiful sandy beach a short ride away to. The best thing about Camari Gardens is the staff, very welcoming and friendly. They were fantastic with my two daughters and very helpful. A happy family environment.

Camari Gardens itself is a very homely beautifully set apartment complex , family run, whome make you feel more than welcome and completely at ease and at home, with majority of guests being British it's very easy going and very chatty at night in the well kept spotlessly clean and fairly priced taverna . The all you can eat very diverse breakfast is more than enough to keep you going in one of the two immaculate pools all day ,until its time for a tea time shower and a drink on the well sized balcony before the smell of the freshly prepared home made food draws you back to the taverna for a look at the extensive and once again fairly priced menu . The apartments are large and immaculately kept and an absolute pleasure to stay in . Overall 12 out of 10 and a definite return is an absolute must .
I	IChat Nonsense on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is my 7th time vacationing in Crete and the Camari Gardens. The family who runs are truly welcoming beyond anything I've experienced before. The facilities may not be 5 star, but that really doesn't matter (they are still good facilities, there's everything you need). This is a home away from home, we feel and are treated as family, that has been the case since our first day here back in 2007. Beautiful view of the coast and hills, plus you're not too far from the city or beaches (5/10 min taxi). If you care more for the superficial and material things in life, go stay in a generic 5 star hotel chain. However, if you want to feel as though you're family, go to the Camari Gardens, you won't regret it. We never have.
