Best Campground in Greece

G	Gaby Weiße on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kleiner familiärer Naturcampingplatz mit leckerer Hausmannskost (von Mama), am besten immer nach dem Tagesgericht fragen. Sehr herzlich, offen und gastfreundlich. Sanitäre Anlagen typisch griechisch, etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber sauber. Small family nature campsite with delicious home-style cooking (from mom), always ask about the dish of the day. Very warm, open and hospitable. Sanitary facilities typically Greek, a bit old, but clean.
D	Dieter Schwarze (Dischwacht) on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Der Platz ist ungepflegt und heruntergekommen. Die Betreiber sind nett und freundlich aber der Preis ist zu hoch. Sanitärräume sind katastrophal (bei den Damen gibt's nur Stehtoiletten). Im April waren Taverne und Minimarkt geschlossen. Zum Ort Epidauros sind es ca. 2 km, zum großen Amphitheater 17 km. The place is unkempt and run down. The operators are nice and friendly but the price is too high. Sanitary rooms are catastrophic (there are only standing toilets for women). In April tavern and mini market were closed. It is approx. 2 km to the town of Epidauros and 17 km to the large amphitheater.
S	Susanne on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Netter kleiner Campingplatz, nur durch eine kaum befahrene kleine Straße vom Strand entfernt. Betreiberfamilie ist sehr nett. Im Mai hatte das kleine Restaurant geöffnet. Brötchenservice. Sanitäranlagen sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber sehr sauber. Für die Damen gibt es auch normale Toiletten!!!(nicht wie vorher beschrieben nur Stehtoiletten). Nice little campsite just down a little road from the beach with little traffic. Operating family is very nice. The small restaurant was open in May. Bread service. Sanitary facilities are a bit old, but very clean. There are also normal toilets for the ladies!!! (not only standing toilets as previously described).

Due to a family bereavement I had to fly back to the UK - my husband chose Camping Verdelis to stay for over two weeks until I returned. It has a beautiful setting and there was more room for motorhomes to park side onto the ocean, unlike neighbouring sites. The owners were especially kind and the homemade food at their taverna was great. We had all the facilities we needed there and the site is a short (2-3km) very pleasant cycle ride to the town and harbour at Epidavros. We toured the Greek Peloponnese for 2 months and this remained as one of our favourites - we will definitely return next time we visit Greece.
