Hotel Apollon - Ancient Epidavros Ancient

Fantastic!!! A very friendly, family environment. It was a pleasure to stay there. Relaxing with the sea at your feet.

We made our reservation for 2 nights over a month before the booking dates and, at that time, we pre-paid our first night. We contacted them repeatedly in order to confirm our reservation - we even called them twice the day of our arrival. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that our room was no longer available due to an error made by them. They informed us that they had booked us an "equivalent" room in a nearby hotel, which happened to cost exactly the same as their room (70euros/night). The "equivalent" room was vastly inferior, with the most basic furnishing, without any window shutters (just a curtain), no shower curtain, zero amenities apart from a small soap, no elavator and many more, too many to mention. The breakfast options were a joke too. This was something that we would never ever have booked for ourselves. It's worth noting that the management of the Apollon hotel never told us how sorry they were for this mistake (because obviously they weren't), they couldn't even bother checking up on us later to see whether we were happy with our new hotel and when we asked for a refund they bluntly dismissed it, claiming that we shouldn't have stayed in the other hotel. According to them, it made more sense to start looking for a hotel on a Friday evening in Epidaurus (instead of actually going to the theatre for which we had already booked tickets), when anything decent has already been booked weeks or even months in advance due to the festival and the theatre shows, or just go back home and lose our tickets, the cost of travelling (we are talking about hundreds of euros here!) along with our plans for a nice weekend. For what is worth, we will be submitting a formal complaint to the relevant tourist authorities too.

We were very please by out stay in Apollon Hotel. We have idea, that this is the best hotel you can get in Old Epidauros. One of the best breakfasts as for 2* hotel and for the price. Pretty garden, free sunbeds, beach bar. And what is more important - very friendly and genuinely helpful staff. You can easily tell that they are trully glad to help you. Recommended!

Fantastic hotel, clean and cozy! Top location. Before your eyes the sea, behind your back rises the mountain. Excellent service, very kind and caring staff. Amazing breakfast, the food in the restaurant is delicious. Lovely place?⛱❤️

The location is great. The bay area there is pretty amazing. The sea is crystal clear and water is really warm. Per-friendly hotel. Free private parking near the entrance. Breakfast is really good, I mean really really good. But the rooms is quiet simple and asking for renovation for a lot time ago.

We loved this hotel. Location is perfect and when you enter the terrace and see the sea view, you almost think that you’re in Caribbean. The beach is really nice, and the sea was surprisingly warm in October. Also, the owner of the hotel was kind and helpful. We visited 7 hotels during our stay in Peloponnese and this hotel offered the best breakfast.

Lovely family hotel & bar-restaurant right at the seaside with very friendly staff, super nice food and overall a very relaxed vibe. Thank you all for a wonderfull stay! ♥️

Very dog friendly, family owned beach hotel in the adorable small village of Epidavros. Also family friendly. But good for groups of friends too! Tons of beach bars and restaurants to choose from 1 minute walk from the hotel. Fotina and Irini at check in are lovely (Irini helps run the hotel and speaks fluent English) and Vasilis and the young gentleman at breakfast are so friendly and helpful. PRO TIP: BRING YOUR OWN BEACH TOWELS!!! ??? The hotel does not provide them. But there are chairs and basic cabanas. Also, the bar next door (to the right if you are facing the beach) stays open and plays great music until past 2am! Fun place to meet fellow travelers
