★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Captain George. Please, please, please if you do one thing in Corfu go and eat here! George the owner is a fabulous character, full of life, great cook, singer and philosopher to boot.
Passionate about all of his food from his home made feta to his corfuian dishes! With offers to see the dishes in the kitchen.
Our lamb was amazingly tender and tasty. The feta was the best I have tasted anywhere.
George is a wonderful host. Made you feel as if you were a guest at his home and not a customer!
George's humour is hilarious.
Love love love!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ordered mama Mia special pizza and chicken salad late at night, george and his staff went out of there way to make our meal and couldn’t have been friendlier. Food was great and reasonably priced.
“Christina cheirdari” has left a one star review however she is Well known as a complete liar and has never actually visited here. Disgusting if you ask me.
10/10 would eat here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The perfect tavern for an authentic Greek atmosphere. Family friendly, couple friendly, generally friendly. From the moment you sit at the table at Captain George's you will receive an experience. From the moment you have the menu in front of you, you will notice great prices for a family tavern. The food is delicious, it looks delicious, and the portions are more than enough to satisfy your taste buds. We almost always ordered something different, so we could experience more of the local and Greek cuisine. All the food we ordered was home-made and brought to our table fresh and hot. I especially recommend fresh orange juice instead of the usual orange juice, as it is prepared on the spot. An amazing experience that gave us hope, even if it is about the COVID-19 pandemic, you will find people with a zeal for life.
Friendly reminder: Sunday is family time, so the tavern is closed.

The food is great and the drinks are perfect.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Everything about our meal tonight was perfect. We started with a glass of home made lemonade which was absolutely tasty. I had Captain George's chicken skewers with chips, tsatzikii, pitta bread and salad, while my partner had the beef meatballs with chips, pitta bread, salad and tsatsiki. The meat was well seasoned and chips were perfectly cooked. The baklava was perfect. The staff were nice and friendly. It was a perfect evening. After our meal, we were given some fruits from the owner's garden, fresh organic fruits. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are ever in Kanoni.
