★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best tavern in Donousa , fresh fish is excellent, meat and salads very good, large quantities, reasonable rices, value for money. The only failure was a fried cheese with honey, the fry was bad and the honey was something like honey, but everything else was very good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Humble environment and good treat. Fish and seafood were extremely good and fresh! The kind of place you need to go dressed with not too much fanciness! And the view gives it an add on that makes your night bucolic in a sea way.

The Way We Saw It on Google
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very standard food, had Lasagna which was dry, probably reheated and already a few days old. The chicken souvlaki was also pretty tasteless. Unfortunately we saw the kitchen through the window, lost the rest of our appetite... one of us was feeling sick the following night. It’s cheap, so there’s no secrets, good food has its price. Service was friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Captain George in the port area of Donoussa is wonderfully located looking over the port and marina. The food is extremely high quality including a range of startes, some of which have island ingredients. Main courses always include fish, meat and vegetables so there is plenty to choose from. It is the owner who makes this such a great place to visit. Nothing is too much trouble for Joanna and she always has a helpful and positive approach to customers.
