★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Free sun beds if you buy lunch. The lunch was really good as well! Club sandwich and pizza were well worth it (and free tiny magnum for dessert was a big bonus!) Staff are nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We chose the restaurant because of its position on the beach, to enjoy the sunset but the food was even better. Salmon and spinach chicken was our dinner . Both very juicy and well cooked. Prices very logical for the quality and quantity they offer. Friendly service. Excellent house wine. Well done!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A lovely restaurant with delicious food, great view to the beach and relaxing waves and very nice and friendly staff! Spending our mornings here (and evenings) really made our stay in Platanias and we highly recommend visiting. Continental breakfast was my favorite, and chatting with the awesome staff was one of the highlights of our vacation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Carpe Diem Restaurant is offers a beautiful seaside setting and traditional Greek cuisine accompanied by healthy, fresh salads, excellent appetizers and a fresh draught of Cretan beer, or house wine made from juicy grapes and they have a refreshing choice of multicoloured cocktails. Enjoy a typical Greek atmosphere under the hot sun near the sea, and wonderful owners, spectacular sea views and sunsets to die for it's all here, great for kids too, and they offer take out.
