This villa is not the same as the picture. It was impossible to swim in the pool the first days as the color of the water was green and resulted as chemicals. The size of the pool is extremely small. Futhermore, we got robbed. The thiefs stole away the safe and stole all the cash in the house. It is very dangerous.

Went to Mykonos 3 weeks ago, stayed in Carpe Diem and it was just as in the pictures, that pool is awesome. Staff was friendly and available when we needed them, and the place was squeaky clean. Sidenote, the island is epic, for leisure or fun, Mykonos is the king!

DISCLAIMER: I have not stayed at the villa. The low star rate is for the poor customer service experienced through the booking process. We had originally booked the villa through AirBnB for a wedding in September. Due to COVID the wedding was cancelled and as such we are no longer in a position of visiting Mykonos. Furthermore, the current travel policies encourage against any unnecessary travel for the foreseeable future. We had already paid half of the amount of our stay, which consisted in over £ 1,000. Their cancellation policy on AirBnB is strict, which means that the deposit, in normal circumstances, is non refundable, after the first 48 hours. The one star is not for not granting us the refund, but for the poor customer service. We are living through unprecedented circumstances and times are tough for everyone, even if at varying degrees. Throughout the process there has not been any willingness to put themselves in our shoes, even considering the 122 days notice we were giving. They could have offered us a voucher, to be used at a later time, for example, as many other businesses are doing. As many, I found myself having to cancel a variety of different bookings this year, including my own wedding. Each provider I have dealt with has tried their best to reach a compromise that protected their business as well as the customer’s interest. I am leaving this review as it’s in situations like this that you can measure the true level of customer service of a provider and customer service in hospitality should be at the foundation of a business.

My husband 2 kids and another family spent 4 nights at the Carpe Diem villa in July 2018. The villa has a very nice location, and excellent ocean views. The pool area is lovely and the atmosphere is very relaxing. The villa was clean, well equipped, and nicely air conditioned. Great communication with the villa manager as well, we had a request for additional pillows, which was immediately catered. We had an overall great experience and the only drawback is that Mykonos gets very crowded in July, especially for families with young kids!

We stayed at Carpe Diem villas in May 2022. We were a group of 16 and stayed at Carpe Diem villas 2&3. We initially booked through booking.com but you have to liaise directly with the Carpe Diem so in hindsight wish we had just booked through their website at a better rate! As we were a large group, we wanted villas that were close to each other so that we could still feel like we were all together. Villas 2 & 3 are close enough that if you wish to do this, it is possible! However, if you’re just booking one villa then it’s worth mentioning they are separated enough that you wouldn’t be disturbed by others next door! Villa 1 is much more set back from villas 2&3. The villas are in a good location, over looking the sea and a 20 minute walk to Ornos beach which has Pasaji Beach Club & lots of little tavernas for lunch or dinner. If you are going to walk, worth knowing the road up to villa is extremely steep! The rooms were all lovely, just like the photos. Very clean and the maid comes in every day to clean. Everything you could need in the kitchen, ample plates and glasses to ensure you never run out & also a small dishwasher to reduce any washing up! The only thing we were slightly disappointed with is that the shower was salt water! Which was not great for the girls washing their hair. The pool is salt water too, but we were already aware of this and so was not an issue! For us the absolute best thing that made the stay here go from good to amazing was the private transfers that Panda & his team provide! Mykonos is notoriously expensive for taxis and as a big group we were worried about how we would get around. We were able to WhatsApp Panda at any time day or night and he would arrange one of the drivers to collect us in a minibus that seated 8. These were very reasonably priced (Much cheaper than the Mykonos taxis!) & throughout the trip we got to know all the drivers, who were all so lovely & friendly! If you’re going to Mykonos to party then this is an absolute lifesaver & honestly made our experience so much better! Panda was also just so nice. Such a lovely man! We are back in Mykonos next year and will be booking directly with Panda again ☺️
