Carpe Diem Zante - Laganas

Delicious food, clean, nice ambience, and great service! Also, I love their white wine! One of my favourite restaurant here in Laganas.? highly recommend!

Pleasant atmosphere, good food, friendly staff. And music...

Visited this restaurant with my wife and my parents for dinner earlier this month. Although centrally situated on the busiest strip in Laganas, this restraint bears no resemblance to its surroundings. Décor is modern and comfortable. A choice of tables with cushioned benches, tables with upright chairs, high top tables, under cover or open air. Lots of subtle lighting, wrought iron, and polished wood. Impressive looking bar area. The staff here immediately present as open, friendly and genuinely wishing to please. Menus are available in a host of languages. We were shown to our table. Waiter was on us with menus and taking a drinks order in quick time. Drinks arrived in clean glasses, fresh presentation, good quality spirits used in the drinks and cocktails. Beer was cold and not short on gas. The menu is comprehensive, all the Greek specialities you would expect as well as lots of burgers and grilled meat dishes. The Italian selection was particularly impressive and creative, had I not been looking for good Greek food in particular I could have been swayed by some of these dishes. Also and rather unexpectedly there was a selection of Asian dishes also on the menu. So if you find yourself in Laganas and looking for a curry. Keep this place in mind. Having ordered, we sat back and chatted away the time while our meal was prepared. We did not have to wait too long before our starters arrived. All was as we ordered it. Fresh, tasty and well presented. The garlic bread, although a simple dish. Was cooked and presented with care. No shortcuts apparent here. The Tzatziki was fresh, flavourful and plentiful. The pitta warm and fresh. The wine list is not over complicated and has something for everyone’s taste. We ordered a bottle of Prorogos Merlot to go with our mains. This is domestic wine and reasonable cost of 16.50 Euro a bottle. My wife and I ordered the Lamb Kelefiko. This came served wrapped inside a parchment parcel. The lamb was very moist and succulent, exceptionally fresh tasting, was hot and evenly seasoned. Note there are no carbs with this dish so some potatoes on the side would not go amiss when you order. That said it is a good portion size. So if you are a real meat eater. This is a dish for you. Mum ordered the Beef Stifado with rice. Once again it was lovely presentation but a heavy portion of braised beef stew with plenty of onions. Good portion size and rich taste. Dad ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala for some reason. However he was not disappointed and really enjoyed it. Guess he was missing home. He went on to have the warm chocolate fudge cake for dessert. This too was an ample portion, and of high quality. After dinner coffee was served. Three different coffees, espresso, cappuccino, and traditional Greek coffee. All were what they should have been. Brandy was imported and there was no Mataxa available which was a shame. The restaurant and toilets were exceptional clean and well designed. Good access with very attentive service without being intrusive. Only drawback I could see for someone is that there was no disabled access. Steps to the front of the restaurant and no ramp or alternative access. We thoroughly enjoyed or meal. I would not hesitate to return should we find ourselves in Laganas again. But that said the world is a big small place these days. Thank you very much for a great evening. Keep up the good work.

Best place for a perfect dinner or some nice cocktails in a very good looking, modern and stylish location away from the partys for affordable money €€ (Around 10€) !! The quality of everything was so good, just taste that truffle risotto or chicken masala. Service is better than anywhere else. We love it !!

It does look okay. We went here because of looks i think. Food was served cold, and my girlfriend found black hair in her plate. The man who works here sad that it's our, but i had white hair and she had blue. So it was not ours. He did give her a new plate, but the same meal, same cold. Not really liking this place, there are much better places for a lower price.

Gorgeous breakfast ! Was so gutted we couldn't make it back for an evening meal and found this restaurant on our last day ! Lovely vegan menu too

Beautiful place with delicious food. The staff is very kind and professional. The manager gave us a really nice table although it was full. I also asked him for kind of spaghetti that were not in the menu and there was no problem for them to make them. He recommended some cheese with lemon for starter which was incredibly delicious (don’t remember the name, something starting with S). The lamb kebab and the spaghetti were so good. The atmosphere is lovely, also they serve cocktails. At the end the awesome manager gave as 2 limoncello’s as compliment. Awesome place!
