Cawe II Seaview Villa - Καλύβες

We booked this villa for our family of five - it easily had space for another family too - and were utterly amazed by it. From the second we set foot inside and took in the huge, light-filled spaces, the incredible terrace overlooking the pool, the view to the sea, we already knew we'd be back for another holiday. It completely exceeded our expectations. The kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms were beautifully furnished and pristinely clean, the pool was a great size - our kids were in and out of it all day - and surrounded by ample sunbeds, outdoor lounges and dining furniture. Everything had been thought of by the hosts. There was ample linen and towels, the kitchen was fully stocked with everything and anything you could possibly need (including lots of lovely local food waiting for us on arrival) and Phillipa, the host, was so friendly and helpful, there to greet us when we arrived, and at the end of the phone for anything we needed during our stay. Overall, this was such a luxurious, private and peaceful villa, with breath-taking views, all within walking distance of the tavernas, shops and bakeries in Kalyves, a beach at the end of the road, and Chania a short drive away. None of us wanted our holiday to end, and we'll be returning as soon as we can. Thank you for such a memorable stay!

My husband & I got married in Crete in September 2019. We were thrilled to find this gem of a home in Kalives- so perfectly laid out and all the amenities we could need. Our host Philippa couldn’t not be more helpful and available for any questions we had. The home is set up on a hill with beautiful beach views and plenty of privacy. The beach and supermarket are a short walk from the house. The village center of Kalyves is Just a few mins drive. Our wedding prep photos are spectacular & we look forward to our next stay at Cawe Villa... hopefully in the near future! Even Upon our departure Phillipa gifted us with some local Cretan treats which was such a nice gesture. Until next time!!
