but price is a bit too high for it (4 euro in comparison with e.g. Archeological museum 5 eur)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely worth visiting if you are interested in religious art. Also had some basic history of Crete with Venetian and Byzantine rule. We spent an hour there at a cost of 4,0 euro.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a must see in Heraklion. It’s a small museum in an old church that has beautiful icons, paintings, and other items used in churches throughout the history of Cretan Christianity. The items in the museum are remarkably well preserved, and the museum provides lots of helpful information about the exhibits.
