Varvara and Mary, the ladies who run this hotel really care about their customers!!! Let these two ladies to guide you during your stay! They will tell you all the tips all the beaches, all the restaurants. They really want you to have a great stay!! Thank you!!! See you next year!!!

PERFECT room (We stayed in the excellence traditional suite),well equipped,with comfortable bed and pillows. We greatly enjoyed our 9-night stay there ! Really quite ! Super clean ! Excellent location ! Tasteful homemade breakfast in the room ! Every day we had new beach towels provided to us by Chrysalis and every evening a delicius dessert ! The staff were extremely polite and hospitable ! Varvara and the other girls were great in everything (as and Ioli)! Also they gave us all the useful informations about points of interest.Without we request for it,they suggested and allowed us to check-out later for free,until our ship leaves (18.00 o'clock in the afternoon) ! We had such a great time ! We will visit again the amazing Astypalaia & Chrysalis for sure !!!. Negative: Nothing.Everything was just perfect!.

Maria, the owner, will do everything to ensure you have the best time not only in the hotel but in your Astypalea trip in general. As for the hotel itself, it’s around 15 mins away from the airport and 5 mins away from Chora, which is the main view from the balconies. You get to wake up, open the window and see the Castle of Astypalea, as well as the Aegean Sea. I particularly loved the variety and quality of breakfast which you enjoy on an outside terrace. Local eggs, local chlori soft cheese, bread, fruits, fruit spreads and basically anything you can think of. I’ve attached pictures of the big private villa of the hotel, check out the architecture and the bathroom. Wow!

The rooms have been designed with great attention to detail and offer a very relaxing environment and amazing views to the sea and the castle. The hotel has made all the necessary adjustments for COVID-19 (breakfast in the room, face masks for guests, antiseptic liquids in the rooms, etc) to ensure safety of guests and staff. Most importantly, the staff, and in particular the three ladies at the reception, apart from being extremely friendly and helpful, went above and beyond to make our experience in Astypalaia unforgettable. Extremely friendly, all their recommendations spot on, the room simply excellent with a crazy good view, the breakfast was insanely good delivered to your room - and if u have to check out early for a flight they provide small breakfast in ur room the night before. My only regret didn’t stay longer

Just minutes walk into town. One minute walk to the best pastries that I tried on the island. The Chrysalis hotel is clean, cleaner, the cleanest possible. Every effort towards keeping the aesthetics in order was visible and appreciated. You’ll enjoy the views. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, and yes very clean. Now. The staff. Wow! Knowledgeable of the many restaurants and beaches. They arranged for our scooter rental, transportation from the airport, Transportation to our ferry. I highly recommend the hotel.
