★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Очень уютный храм (если это сравнение подходит к святым местам). Не смотря на что что он стоит на оживленной улице и вокруг очень много народу, играют дети. То внутри этого не чувствуешь. Тут спокойно и духовно.
Very cozy temple (if this comparison is suitable for holy places). Despite the fact that he stands on a busy street and there are a lot of people around, children play. You don’t feel it inside. It’s calm and spiritual.

The largest Greek Orthodox church in Hersonissos. It is very cozy inside, a completely different atmosphere, unlike our Russian churches. It is very comfortable to be here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As a Greek American and staying for five weeks in Crete I found the residents to be full of hospitality all over this beautiful island.The first Sunday I attended church liturgy and received Holy Communion as one of the Greek Orthodox Faith.
As I sat in my car about to start engine I was shocked to hear pounding, on my window. It was a Yiayia exclaiming “Pou Pas? PouPas?” Meaning “Where are you going?” and continuing in Greek “You have to come in to.eat!”
I did and was welcomed as family or returning war hero. Sat me down and could not do enough for me.
GOD BLESS THEM ONE AND ALL!
No matter where I was , small village of big City the love shown through.
