★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ανεβαίνοντας το βουνό της Πεντέλης, βρίσκεται ο Άγιος Ιωάννης των Λατομείων, ένα μικρό εκκλησάκι που χτίστηκε από τους εργάτες των λατομείων της Πεντέλης προς τιμήν του Αγίου Ιωάννη. Η πρόσβαση είναι εύκολη, αφήνεται το αυτοκίνητο στον ασφαλτοστρωμένο δρόμο (στενός μεν αλλά στη στροφή εχει λιγο χώρο για 3 αυτοκίνητα) & 2-3 λεπτά περπάτημα σε χωματόδρομο μέχρι το εκκλησάκι.
 Going up the mountain of Penteli, there is Agios Ioannis of the Quarries, a small church built by the workers of the quarries of Penteli in honor of Agios Ioannis. Access is easy, leave the car on the asphalt road (narrow but in the turn there is little space for 3 cars) & 2-3 minutes walk on a dirt road to the church.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Το εκκλησάκι του Αγίου Ιωάννη του Λατώμου είναι ένα φανταστικό μέρος για στάση αν κάποιος πηγαίνει βόλτα στο βουνό της Πεντέλης. Μπορεί να αφήσει το αυτοκίνητο του πάνω σε ένα χώρο και να περπατήσει περπατήσει περίπου 800 m και να φτάσει στο εκκλησάκι .Έχει πηγή με άφθονο καθαρό κρύο νερό .Επιπλέον όποιος φτάσει μέχρι εκεί είναι πιθανόν να το βρει κλειστό αλλά την ημέρα της γιορτής του γίνεται μεγάλο πανηγύρι. Λόγο πιο πέρα έχει ένα μονοπάτι το οποίο οδηγεί σε κάποια σημαντικά μέρη που δεν τα έχω εξερευνήσει ακόμα. Έχει μεγαλειώδη θέα προς την Αττική και είναι πολύ ήρεμα!!!
The chapel of St. John of Latium is a fantastic place to stop if you are going for a walk on the mountain of Penteli. He can leave his car on a site and walk about 800 m and reach the chapel. It has a spring with plenty of clear cold water. festival. Beyond that there is a path that leads to some important places that I have not explored yet. It has magnificent views of Attica and is very quiet !!!

An oasis, terribly calm and peaceful. The eye is lost in the beauty of the landscape and the view to Penteli-Athens. The church is open and the big picnic table is waiting for the faithful to welcome them. Awesome source with fish

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ωραιο εκκλησάκι δεν φαίνεται απο το δρόμο είναι μέσα στο βουνό. Μπορεί να πας και με αυτοκίνητο αλλά σιγά σιγά λόγω λακκούβες στενος δρόμος συγκεκριμένα χωματόδρομο
Nice little church is not visible from the road it is in the mountain. You can also go by car but slowly due to potholes narrow road specifically dirt road

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ομορφο εκκλησακι προς τιμην του Αγιου Ιωαννη του Λατομου.
Μεσα εχει απλα 2 παγκακια για να καθισεις και εξω εχει ενα τραπεζι και 3 παγκακια για να καθισεις και να κανεις πικ νικ.
Ωραια θεα και αρκετα δεντρακια κανουν το μερος χαλαρωτικο.
Υπαρχει και μια μικρη στερνα οπου μεσα εχει χρυσοψαρα.
Το αυτοκινητο το αφηνεις επανω στον ασφαλτινο δρομο και κατεβαινεις ενα χωματοδρομο αποστασης 4 λεπτα με τα ποδια.
Beautiful church in honor of Agios Ioannis of Latomos.
Inside it has just 2 benches to sit and outside it has a table and 3 benches to sit and have a picnic.
Nice view and several trees make the place relaxing.
There is also a small cistern where there are goldfish inside.
You leave the car on the asphalt road and walk down a dirt road for 4 minutes on foot.
