★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Προστατευόμενο μνημείο της πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς του τόπου, με ΦΕΚ του 1925 (από τα πρώτα που αφορούσαν το νησί). Η προστασία του αφορά τόσο την αρχιτεκτονική του για το σύμπλεγμα των ναών (αν και κατεστραμμένη), όσο και τον διάκοσμο. Άλλά και η ίδια η τοποθεσία μέσα στο χρόνο αποτελεί χαρακτηριστικό παράδειγμα χώρου θρησκευτικής μετάλλαξης και εξέλιξης.
Με την παρούσα μορφή χρονολογείται τον 6ο - 7ο αιώνα ωστόσο ανασκαφικές έρευνες το τοποθετούν στην μινωική περίοδο όπου και αποτελούσε Ιερό Κορυφής. Πιθανότατα η τοποθεσία κατοικείτο και παλαιότερα.
 Protected monument of the cultural heritage of the place, with a Government Gazette of 1925 (one of the first on the island). Its protection concerns both its (though damaged) church architecture and its decoration. But location itself over time is a prime example of an area of religious change and evolution.
It is dated to the 6th - 7th century, however excavations place it in the Minoan period, where it was a peak sanctuary. The site was probably inhabited in the past.

Ugly road if ..... you meet someone in the opposite direction the difficulties begin.
