Θαυμάσιες εικόνες Αγίων και μορφές Αγγέλων σπάνιας τεχνικής, μαρτυρούν το ταλέντο του ζωγράφου της εποχής, του Αντωνίου εξ Αγράφων που ήκμασε περί τα μέσα του 17ου αιώνα. Σύμφωνα με επιγραφή στο πέτρινο τέμπλο, ο Αντώνιος εξ Αγράφων παρέδωσε τις εικόνες στα 1680. Στο ναό διακρίνονται πέντε αγιογραφικές ζώνες. Μέρος της δεύτερης ζώνης του δυτικού τοίχου, απέναντι από την κυρία είσοδο, θυμίζει τα μωσαϊκά του San Vitale της Ραβένας και τοιχογραφίες των Μετεώρων. Εδώ συναντάμε μεταξύ άλλων και τις μορφές του Μεγάλου Κωνσταντίνου και της Αγίας Ελένης, ανάμεσα στους οποίους παρεμβάλλεται ο σταυρός της Λωραίνης. Στο σύνολο τους οι τοιχογραφίες είναι Ηπειρωτικής τεχνοτροπίας, με επιδράσεις από την Κρητική σχολή και ίσως από τα περίφημα μωσαϊκά των Βυζαντινών ναών της Ραβέννας. The Holy Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Anogia is of great size in the Basilica. Wonderful icons of the saints and forms of angels of rare technique, testify to the talent of the painter of the time, Antonius of Agrafa, who flourished around the middle of the 17th century. According to an inscription on the stone iconostasis, Antonios of Agraphon delivered the images in 1680. There are five hagiographical zones in the temple. Part of the second zone of the western wall, across from the main entrance, reminds the mosaics of San Vitale in Ravenna and frescoes of Meteora. Here we find among other things the figures of Grand Constantine and Saint Helen, among whom the cross of the Lorraine is inserted. All of them the frescoes are of Continental style, with influences from the Cretan School and perhaps from the famous mosaics of the Byzantine temples of Ravenna.
