Όταν το επισκεφθηκα ένοιωσα πως ήμουν μόνος και παρόλο που έψαχνα δεν βρήκα κανένα μολο που είμαι σίγουρος πως από ότι έδειχνε υπήρχαν μέσα καλόγεροι. Πανέμορφη θέα προς τον Μαρμαρα και τη θάλασσα.
It serves the faithful through the world flood of tourism. A small Mount Athos stock near Marmara could still develop more activity. When I visited it I felt that I was alone and even though I was searching I did not find any pole that I am sure that from what it showed there were monks inside. Beautiful view to Marmaras and the sea.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The temple is constructed in the 1863. Roman and Early Christian architectural parts are walled in some of its windows and doors. The temple was the central of the metohi of Gregoriou Monastery. Gregoriou Monastery is one of the 12 major monasteries of mount Athos. The term "Metohi" refers to a farm belonging to a monastery, in which there is usually a small chapel and residence for the monks who cultivate the particular farm. Since the 13th century, Sithonia was a productive space of mount Athos monasteries.
