I came here a year ago. The owner was very suspicious of me simply looking around the comics and made me feel very uncomfortable. I did find a decent Funko POP but couldn’t the discomfort along with a smaller store size that I just left. One star for the collection I guess.

I ve been looking for a place with such a comic collection in Athens for a long time now. I was overwhelmed with the place and the owners, my childhood memory triggered when I visited comicon. Well done guys!!!We need more places like this!!!

I came in looking for Greek comics and was not disappointed! This place has a great mix of different comics, the clerks were very knowledgeable and accommodating. Left the shop with three Greek graphic novels, whereas one in English (lucky for me ?). They also have a very nice selection of fanzines and small press books as well as American/English language comics. Among all the shops I went to in the area, this one I will definitely visit again. If you want a taste of the Greek comic scene, this is the place!

The first Google Review that comes up when I click on this says: "The owner was very suspicious of me simply looking around the comics and made me feel very uncomfortable." That's very similar to my experience today, although I don't know if the man working there today was the owner or not. I explained the moment I entered the shop that I'm an author, I don't speak much Greek, and that I just wanted to browse. I'm actually a professional author, currently working on a graphic novel for a major US publisher. So as part of my research, I look for other graphic novels and comics in similar genres to take inspiration from the artwork. I have Greek comics. I would maybe have spent a hundred euros today, and have come back regularly in the future if I'd had a good experience. Instead, I left without buying anything and probably won't come back. The man working there told me the books were in Greek. I said "I know, I'm an author, I'm looking at the artwork. I buy books for the artwork - for inspiration." He obviously wasn't happy about that. I found a graphic novel I was thinking of buying and started leafing through the pages. He complained (twice) that he didn't like the fact I was reading it "page by page". I said "Is that not okay? I want so look at the content before I decide whether to buy." I politely explained to him (third time) that I'm an author working on a graphic novel and so I'm looking at the artwork to decide if I want to buy. He was basically hovering over me know and kept making it clear he wasn't happy that I was looking through the pages. You'd think I'd been in there for hours wasting his time but in fact it was probably about five minutes - I only really had a chance to look at two graphic novels that I was interested in buying. He made it very obvious I wasn't welcome and that he wanted me to leave so I just said "That's okay, I'll go and shop in another comic store." I went to nearby Solaris comics where the young woman working was the complete opposite - she was very friendly and helpful and I chatted to her for a while about my work and the sort of graphic novels and comics I'm looking to buy, etc. I'll probably go back to Solaris and I'd recommend it to other people. It's amazing how different the experience can be in different shops. For the record, as a writer, I love it when people look through my books. When my own graphic novel comes out, I hope they're able to see the amazing artwork because we imagined them being able to do that in shops before buying and we're looking forward to them seeing the first few pages and wanting to read the rest. This shop lost a customer today, for no reason. That's a shame. EDIT: Dude, like I said, I was in your shop for roughly five minutes - I had time only to look at two graphic comics. I realize it's not a library but it's perfectly normal for customers in a shop to look at books/comics before purchasing them. (By the way, I used to be a shop owner myself.) That's why you have other reviewers complaining about the same treatment. You're suspicious because I didn't tell you what I was looking for? I told you that I was an author of a graphic novel browsing for comics with artwork I liked - is that not good enough to be allowed to look around your shop for more than five minutes? As for the virus, I was the only customer in the shop and I was wearing a mask and gloves.
