★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is totally worth the visit. The fish tanks are beautiful and very well maintained.
There is a big parking place adjacent to the aquarium.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a nice place for an hour out with the kids. Lots of parking available and two cafes. One outside as you approach the building and one inside when you leave. Also a gift shop at the end. Toilet facilities were clean and hygienic.
Kids 12 and over can take part in the 3D experience, I'm not sure why our 10 year old couldn't, but keep that in mind if your going with under 12's. You could walk through in well under an hour but you can drag it out for an hour if you look at everything. We paid 32 Euros to enter for 2 adults and two kids, 10 & 15, not a bad price.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice aquarium, better than I expected. The staff is really friendly. I took it as a positive thing that they checked the covid vaccination certificate. The aquariums and the fish and sea creatures were fascinating, it really left an impression. But sometimes I was thinking that the aquariums should be bigger, it felt that for example the turtle was swimming back and forth because maybe of stress? I don't know for sure the answer. I got there by bus from Heraklion, cost 1.9euros one way. On the way back the bus was late, but I didn't mind personally. The area where the aquarium is located seems affected by the economic crisis.
In any case, I recommend visiting the place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I could have stayed there the whole day. I loved seeing all the different marine life. The place is well cared for and when I went it wasn't packed full of people. I took over 300 pictures. (Obviously NO flash photography allowed!!!)
However as you can see from some of the pictures I took, you can get some wonderful photos. I will definitely be going again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice aquarium. many things to see at a very nice location.
it is not the aquarium of Barcelona or can be compare to any big aquariums, but for a small place like Crete - it is very nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is definitely worth a visit if only to see the turtles. I'll be honest and say I didn't expect much but the tanks are impressively large and there's quite a few novel species of aquatic life in there. It did seem to be lacking in interactive engagement. You're basically left to your own devices too look around and read any literature. It would have been better if there had been a knowledgeable person to talk about the fish etc.
You will need to wear a mask still.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very beautiful aquarium shows. We were with two young kids aged 1-2 y/o and they loved the displays, and so did the adults. Aquariums are from small size to quite a big one, with various fish, jellyfish, and even a small shark. Admission fee is 5-10 e. You can spend 1-2 hrs here and have a good time. In place Restaurant was under construction at the time, a small kiosk can be found outside. Arrived by car, plenty of Parking. Enjoy!!
