★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice greek taverna with an amazing atmosphere. Sitting right under the trees to get some shadow watching straight onto the beach and the sea. The food was really good but cheap as well. For me the best Gyros I had so far. Five out of five.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best food we had on Crete. The octopus with vinegar as well as the seafood risotto were real culinary highlights. Beautifully prepared, generous portions, with well balanced flavours.
That the taverna provides guests with a beautiful view onto the beach, while trees offer shade as a respite from the sun just adds to the relaxing atmosphere. The metaphorical cherry on top of a perfect restaurant experience. Can't recommend this place enough.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food at a very good price and with a lot of vegan options on the menu (especially with the starters).
My favorite taverna at the beach, the food is well seasoned and really delicious.
The staff is very attentive and of course there will be some raki and dessert waiting for you at the end.

Spot under the trees with Great food, and great service. Everything was delicious - we had mussels, salad, kalamari, apaki, French fries! Very good white wine too!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As a local who grew up in Rethymno and living abroad for years, this is always a place I come back to, year after year. The traditional authentic Cretan food made with fresh ingredients and many organic veggies, the generous portions, the efficient and friendly service and the classic treat at the end of the meal with dessert/fresh fruits/raki, in addition to the great surroundings and view of the Damnoni beach.... I miss it already!
