Denise Beach Hotel - Zakynthos

The room was very clean . They probably had forgotten to put body lotion and shampoo at the bathroom. The only negative thing was the room did not have blinders so some sun does get in in the morning and wakes you up if you want total dark like me when you sleep. The location is great but the breakfast was mediocre. Dennis at the pool bar is great tho . 5 stars for him

We received clean towels and a clean top sheet every day, and our trash was taken out, but nothing was cleaned - not the surfaces, sink, toilet or ashtray. The floors were cleaned twice. There was an open drain in the middle of the bathroom floor (outside of the shower cabin), that regularly flooded our bathroom with stinky braun water. Sometimes it would even foam. It made loud noises every time someone in the building used water. Also, the reception staff wasn't very friendly and the road was crazy loud. We were in Laganas for 2 weeks, but we changed hotels after the (non-refundable) first week. I cannot recommend this hotel. In response to the owner below: Of course we stayed there, we had a room with a jacuzzi. We used it on the second day and it was never cleaned afterward. The room also had a front door that was partially made of glass, which was not great because the light in the hallway stayed on all night and meant that our room was very light at night. When we checked out, we were told we did not pay for our "upgrade", which we in fact had. The road that the hotel is on isn't the main road, but you can hear every quad, every loud, drunk person, every service truck, etc. I paid for 1 week which was non-refundable, otherwise I would have left sooner. Should I continue to prove that I was in fact there?

The hotel has an extremly good location. It has a really good swimming pool area, and after some steps on stairs from the pool, you are in the sea, which is amazing. The hotel is displayed as 4 star on booking.com. On google it is 3 star, and in my opinion 3 star is the reality. The breakfast is like in a 2 star hotel, the cold cuts and the soft drinks are well under the standard. However, when you order lunch from the a la carte menu, the quality is suddenly good. The quality of the rooms is questionable, our first room had problem in the bathroom, water was coming from the floor.. Cleaning of the rooms is also poor. Customer service during the meals was good.

Went here for a meal only waiter was useless claimed he didn't hear my partner's order she was upset put the order in again to be told they ran out of gyros will never go there again.

I really enjoy my staying here in the hotel. My room was new and clean everyday and has a sea view, the food was great and the staff were amazing. They were nice, helpful and always in a good mood. Hotel is just a few stairs from the sea and just a few hundreds of meters from the city. The city has many shops, restaurants and night clubs. In the hotel was really quite and you could relax here. If you would have luck you could see turtles or you could go watching them with the boat.

I stayed at this hotel with my family for one week. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and I would choose this hotel again for my next trip to Zakynthos. At arrival, we were given completely different (a lot worse) rooms not like the ones seen on the photos. They looked more like 2-star rooms and not 4-star. It turned out it was the fault of the Hungarian travel agency we booked with. Thanks to the reception, this issue was resolved and we got the rooms we paid for. However, you should double check what kind of rooms you are booking because not all rooms are nice and comfortable. However, this was only a slight inconvenience. The staff from reception to the waiters were super polite and friendly with a calm attitude. The location is more than perfect, the view is amazing. The dinner was very delicious and rich. Coffee tastes great too. The only thing that may be improved is the breakfast. It would be great to add some variety, e.g.: vegetables.

Everything was great! - was the shower head which you need to hold because it does not stay in the holder. + the room with view + cleanness of the room, the room was clean every 2 days. The housekeeping lady is lovely and such a hard worker! + restaurant and bar staff are very friendly, kind and helpful! +reception lady is very helpful and direct! She rules the place ;) anything you need she helps you with it! Even to rent a quad or a taxi! All together a great stay!

From the owner to the staff there is a great lack of professionalism but out of rudeness they get the first prize. All they care about is that they will make more money. Such a pity…
