★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sandy beech, nice water, quite few rocks, very hit sand and strong wind. Sea turtle nests, safeguarded with small fences and nets.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were very surprised. The shipwreck is huge and definitely you should come to visit this place and take photo. Swimming is OK, water is clear and beach is nice and clean. On some stones you can find sea urchin, but only few of them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Top place to visit when in Gytheio.
Best time to visit for photography. An hour before dusk, gives off a great rusty colour and the sea is a brilliant blue.
If visiting without a car : Get a taxi to the ship (approx 10 Euro). Take some great photos on the beach. Slowly walk up the hill for some great viewpoints. Then an easy walk back to Gytheio along the beach (take the first left after the abandoned resort). Ignore Google directions. A small stream to jump over or wade through and back to town in about 30 minutes unless you want to stop off at some of the cool beach side bars en-route.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There is a lot of beach area here. Make sure to have your own stuff. There is a snackbar at the far right when you stand facing the shipwreck. The water is clear and shallow and the sand on the beach feels amazing on your feet. The shipwreck adds to the scenery and is nice as a backdrop for pictures.

You can park close by and go to the ship by foot. Due to the close distance to the beach you can walk around the wrack in the water.
It is huge. The beach itself is also a nice area with marked places for turtle eggs.
Very less shadow places available.
