Very good place to be with small children, good atmosphere, good relationship with employees, and clean. The problem is that the variety of food was nil, every day the same dishes, and sometimes not when something was over they had no more. Very limited in food, we were very disappointed. And the boss does not give much interest to the customer's opinion, nor does he care. Very bad ?

Great hotel right on the beach. About a twenty minute walk from the harbour where all the entertainment and restaurants, shops etc are. But one of the nicest twenty minute walks you could have along the beach. I went with my girlfriend and we think we were the only English people in the hotel, certainly didn't hear anyone else anyway, but personally I found that quote refreshing and most of the staff struggled a bit with English, but they were very polite and helpful and that's all you can ask for. Would definitely recommend this place wasn't too expensive either, nice pools with actual beds next to them and obviously sun beds too. It has a kids area and children's entertainment. We didn't bring the kids, but tbh I think there are probably more child friendly hotels as this felt on the hole more of an adults hotel, pretty quiet. Not to say the kids would get bored though. The food was very varied. Not my cup of tea most of it but very adventurous some of it, snails etc. The salads were spot on and lots of different ones. The room was very clean and fresh, nice big walk in shower and the beds were comfortable, big balconies. Would 100% recommend.

Very nice and friendly staff, family friendly hotel, clean and right on the beach. We are a family with 3 small kids from Romania and we had a suite. Shops nearby and several good tavernas. Cofee could be better and the internet could be split in more premium categories. Otherwise everything was perfect and we would definetely return.

We have passed a great week of holidays in Dimitrios village and beach resort. Check-in went very smoothly and friendly. We received a nice glass Om cold water with lemon and some explanation. In order to check in we had to fill in the details of each person (ID number and birth date). No need to submit the ID Note that most busses drop you off at the super market at around 150m from the reception. You can take a trolley in front of the minimarket on the main road for your luggage. The street of the hotel is too narrow for busses. Internet is free, but can be a bit slow. There is also a possibility to buy high speed internet for 7 euro for 1 device but WiFi in combination with mobile internet was ok for us. For the towels you need to foresee 7 euros per towel and a 10 euro deposit. Towels can be changed every 2/3 days. We brought our own towels. At the beach you can rent an umbrella and 2 beds for 35 euro per week or 6 euro per day. There were enough sunbeds available on the beach and at the pools. It's nice that most people don't reserve beds so you don't have to wake up early to book your seat. The room was great and clean. We had a suite which has a separate bedroom and bathroom. Everything was very clean and modern and convenient. If you want the room to be cleaned just ask the reception the day before before 5pm. You also get new towels and bedsheets in that case. Staff was super friendly at the reception, in the restaurant, at the bar, cleaning staff, we felt very welcome and at home. There are 4 pools, an indoor pool at the back of the reception. A main children pool with slides near the beach and near the bar. And then 2 other pools in between the rooms. The food is amazing, and you can have breakfast with views on the amazing beach and enjoy a sunset while having dinner. Every evening there was a theme Cretan night, Greek, Chinese, Italian, French and international cuisine. Breakfast was great too. And there is plenty of fresh fruits available (grapes, cut watermelon, kiwis, oranges, apples). Throughout the day there is an all day restaurant where you can get pancakes, gyros, Greek salad and delicious pizzas. The guy in charge was super friendly. For the kids there is also ice cream which tastes very nice. Every day the staff brings slices of watermelon to your sunbeds which is great. The only minor point of comment were the soft drinks. The cola (light) did not really taste great. The cocktails were nice but not so strong :-). There is a mini market at the entrance of the hotel where you can buy drinks, some snacks and other things. If you want to go to rethymnon city you can ask the reception to order you a taxi, it costs around 7 euro. The animation team is great for kids. Every night at 8pm there is a Minidisco and some face painting. For adults there is waterpolo and aquagym for example.
