Rooms are old. Wi-fi was terrible. When we stayed, a huge green hopper was in our room and so we didn't realise until 2am, when it flew down and landed on the desk next to me. Because of that, it lead to little sleep. The staff are a bit clumsy. And the double beds are terrible, hurt my back. So, if there is nothing else available, just come to this hotel.

Historic museum (1st provincial museum in Greece), breathtaking views of Mt. Taygetos' peaks, rational street plan, excellent psistarias and rose wine.

It was clean, and well kept. The linens were soft and of good quality. The bathroom was large, updated and had good water pressure. The A/C was strong and so was the internet signal. It was VERY reasonably priced including a good breakfast. There was fresh squeezed orange juice. I loved it!

The photos online posted by the hotel do not appropriately represent this... establishment. Their photos are classy, things look nice. Hell, I would have settled for clean. In reality, that's just two or three rooms and the entryway. Even more entertaining is that the art on the first floor is very nice (in variety if not taste) whereas floors 1 and 3 have the exact same art prints in the exact same spots and are gathering dust. I didn't notice floor 2, but would be surprised if it differed. My point? They've spruced up some areas to make everything look nice to draw guests in and then what you get is what you get. In reality the room is what you'd expect from a creeper cheap hotel in New York, tucked away in some alleyway. The bed was rock hard, the floors have stains and the bath is normal depth with about half the width. Which makes it a shower that you have to step in to. Speaking of undependable behavior, each room is graced with the tools to make coffee or tea. Mugs, spoons, the water heater. Heck! Even the little glass bowl that the tea and coffee packets go in is there, right on top of a cute little tray! The only thing missing? The bloody tea and coffee. When asked about it at the front desk, the employee (not concierge nor customer service; they wouldn't know the meaning of the concept) stated that they did not offer tea or coffee and that you had to pay for it... and "that's the way it is". Anyone who ends their statement with "that's the way it is" when approached with a simple inquiry should NOT be representing your business with customers... unless you really don't give a damn and want as much money for as little service as possible. I can't fathom how this hotel has received any good reviews above the 3-star line except that either people feel badly about leaving less than 4-5 stars, or maybe they got the one staff member who had a modicum of polite behavior, but at the end of the day this place was all-around awful. At half the price or at least honest crappy pictures to match a crappy establishment, we would have known what we were getting into and that would have been acceptable. However, at the end of the day, the product offered was NOT what was given for the price paid and that is not acceptable. If there's another place to stay? Stay in it, even for a little extra. Or hell, even a little less and the photos don't look as nice, because you don't get what you paid for at this place! At least with somewhere that has crappy photos you won't be taken off-guard.

The hotel is well placed, a 5 minute walk from the town square. It is a little old but clean and room was a very decent size. Value is good.

Comfortable hotel. Small rooms but comfortable beds and a good night's sleep. The real highlight is the balconies, particularly if you can get one facing the mountains. A memorable way to watch a sunset with a glass of local wine in your hand.

Great hotel with limited parking. I put my motorbike by the front door which they seemed to be ok with, room is a bit small but it was perfect & the local area had clothes shops and great food so I walked around there for the evening and felt very safe. Bikers just be careful the roads are so smooth it’s like ice on the corners, I had my back wheel slide out twice at about 5mph ?
